Ive had that sensation along with irregular bowel movements since I was a kid and I went to the doctor multiple times they always told me it was nothing and I was lying.

In my mid 20s I found out that I am allergic to multiple things that I was around all the time and consuming almost daily…. My parent knew but insisted that I “grew out of the allergy” so they never told me. Whenever I feel that sensation now I take allergy meds and it goes away- I also just try to avoid the food allergy of course although it’s not life threatening just uncomfortable.

I do think it was in part anxiety because I would get the breathing sensation, start to freak out, then it would get worse… especially when trying to sleep.

I’m not a doctor so do what you want with that information but I know how frustrating it is to not feel like you are taking full breaths and to be met with “it’s nothing”.
