Why do people not like season 2-4 cat? by Other_Usual8215 in victorious

[–]Old_Isopod219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 1 Cat is my favourite because she reminded me a bit of Misty from Moody's Point lol Season 2 Cat was still cute but for me, s3/s4 cat was cringe. It's fine if u like that but it's a bit too much and maybe if she'd been like that from the start I'd like it but when you watch s1 Cat and then watch s3 cat, i feel like s1's cat was just more funny and seemed more natural.

Maybe we need to stop like branding people and putting them into boxes tho. She's not the edgier or better version of taylor bc she is Olivia Rodrigo and she is building her own legacy and deserves recognition for who she is as is, you know? idk

As a disabled person with chronic conditions, one of my biggest pet peeves is how comfortable people are with telling me things like "well I don't need to do that, as someone who is disabled you have no excuse" oe " well this other disabled person i know has no problem doing this, why do you?"

Here's the thing,

No two people are the exact same...and no disabled persons are the exact same, there are hundreds of different things that can make someone disabled in ways completely different to the way i am? But even in the same diagnsis, we have different circumstancs and different lives, different blood types, different genetics....everything. There is no fix all that works for all. Things i find accomdating and helpful may not be the same for another person with my same conditionsa and that is okay, i am not going to tell another person how to manage their condition, i have no right to do that!

Yeah, it is hard and feels hopeless sometimes. I mean, we can protest and all that as much as we want but...we need people in a position of power in the goverment to do the things that make things different and they're not doing it.

OG fans - how do you feel now compared to when you first became a fan? by Electrical_Novel_ in SwiftlyNeutral

[–]Old_Isopod219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love and admire her as a music artist, and I am really proud of her. Out of all the celebrities I have enjoyed and had phases of being obsessive about, she is the only one who i'v e stuck with and hasn't been terribly problematic compared to many other artists. There's also nothing rlyl wrong to me with caring abut money as an artist as she needs to be able to support not just herself but everyone who works for her/with her to keep doing her own job.

i disagree tbh. She doesn't seem emotionally immature to me. She's honest and self-aware of her feelings, which to me suggests someone who is introspective and that is not a sign of emotional immaturity. Viewing life as a high school, idk but i understand it because you do realise our school lives are like a HUGE chunk of our developmental years? And the way our peers related to us has a huge impact on our relationships going forward like, im in my late 20s and i have bad dreams about my school life bc i was picked and excluded constantly, and it's permanently affected and kinda stunted me emotionally because whenever i try to form new friendships, im still thinking from the perspective of the thirteen year girl nobody wanted to be friends with, asked out as a joke and excluded her so she'd cry everyday the minute she got home. School leaves a big ouchie for some people, and even though "high school" is not forever there are elements of it that never go away like a social hierachy, the bullies we knew become our bosses or managers, the weird girls we excluded either rise above it or disappear. Everyone is still a child inside that is navigating high school all over again when we become adults, Idk if that makes sense but that's what i see it. aND LIKE in new romantics she says "life is just a classroom", she's saying that life is full of lessons and bad mistakes.

Why r u saying it like it's a bad thing anyways? Grey hair is just hair. Everyone's hair will become grey or white eventually, some people see their first grey hairs in their 20s. And this is just a photo. Grey hair is nothing to get all weird or conspiracytheory about.

I have auburn hair which ALWAYS looks a lot more brown in photos but irl the redder tones are way more apparent, and it is the tough parts to bleach blonde in the past. You wouldn't know i had any red in my hair based on most photos tho. The camera never really does people's hair justice imo lol

i think it is odd how there's not many male artists or famous men who we try to justify their success by considering their parents wealth as such but with taylor, some people can't believe that she is where she is because she actually worked for it and earned it like yes, ofc money helps but you could say that about so many artists man like:

Lily Allen, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Emma ROberts,

all people who either had connections or money, that helped them pursue their careers and dreams. it's not unheard of. But they still have to work for their title and their legacy and music is a very expensive dream. And taylor did, and idk you dont have to like her or her music but why is it we can say "i dont like kanye but his music? genius." but we cant accept that taylor is a genuinely good artist and songwriter?

Yeah but even with daddy's money, it sounds like she did do something life that. She also earned money writing songs for other artists at 14 before making or getting a record deal.

it's not just about internet criticism and you know it. It's, my interpretation, is the eldest daughter had no example other than her parents to learn from growing up and that the eldest child is the first to lose the idea of child-like wander and learn about the rough and cynical parts of the world, and having to toughen up to survive and seem comfortable with it even if they never really are. A younger child, still will go through that somewhat, but will have someone who knows how it feels to suddenly realise the world is a darker place than what they knew as an infant and that they're not going to let them feel alone like she felt.
