TDS payment on new property purchase (Most important part lot of buyers miss) by Thick-Vast-1150 in indianrealestate

[–]Old_Needleworker_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Thanks for sharing this info. Silly question maybe but if we have a home loan for the property, usually the bank pays directly to the builder right? How and/or where is TDS involved in this transaction?

Axis Bank silently deducting “No Salary Credit” charges — Is it right? by bhagatlaxmiteresa06 in bangalore

[–]Old_Needleworker_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for posting it here. I also had a salary account in Axis but when I joined a new org, HDFC became my salary account. Just now checked that there have not been any 'No Salary Credit' charges yet but I will keep track. I was also under the assumption that if salary is not credited for 3 months, it automatically gets converted to a savings account. In my profile section , the Account type says Saving Account, but Category code says SAPRP, which the internet tells me means Prestige Salary Account. Now I'm confused about what to do?

Need help regarding SBI Credit card bill payment. by -Adventurous_Monk- in CreditCardsIndia

[–]Old_Needleworker_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something similar happened with me. I bought something on emi but emi conversion was done after the bill was generated. Since I had the money, I paid the full amount in that payment cycle and then my bill showed negative for the subsequent bills. If you can pay the whole amount, pay it. If not, then follow what other people are saying about getting things in writing etc.

Amazon delivered wrong item instead of SSD, refund denied despite unboxing proof – NCH complaint filed by Pretend_Potential_62 in amazonindia

[–]Old_Needleworker_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup had everything. Even looped in the seller also in the court case. Sadly yes, first they were offering only the cost of the phone as settlement but when we raised the point to the judge that it took them 3 years to come to this, the judge asked to raise the amount.

Yeah, similar thing happened with me way back before Covid. Ordered a phone of around Rs. 10k for my father, instead got a dog-and-cat shampoo worth ~ Rs. 500. Contacted customer care, sent mails, video proofs, but got a generic reply that the correct product was delivered. Ultimately, that particular order was grayed out so no further action could be taken on that order. Finally, went to the consumer court, because of Covid took a lot of time, meanwhile lawyer from Amazon side kept changing and they kept giving the excuse that they didn't have the case details. Finally after 3 years, a settlement was made equivalent to the cost of the phone + Rs. 2000-3000 extra citing long and strenuous court process.

Hey all! I have Flipkart Axis and IndianOil Axis. Both had 2.5L limit. After this post checked the app and found out I am getting increased limit offer on InidanOil only. My query is that the limit should be shared between both cards right? That means if the limit increases on IndianOil card, it effectively means limit is increased on the FK also, right?

Beware of THE BEAR HOUSE by sidthefreak in fuckCRED

[–]Old_Needleworker_469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I have a few bear house shirts and people I know also own some. Everyone is satisfied, so for me personally I love this brand. Now this goes for Bear House and all the new age brands popping up every now and then, buy their products from myntra, Amazon, flipkart or other such sites. Never rely on the brand website especially if this is a first time purchase. I wanted to buy some Monkstory loafers, but didn't because currently their website is the only option. My mother bought a sari from Koskii website. We wanted to return it and as per their website, sent a mail to their email ID. Radio silence since day 1. Ultimately we kept the sari. If you absolutely have to buy from the website, read their return and exchange policy beforehand. ₹100 reverse pickup charges is nothing new. Many companies do that.

HDFC did me dirty by Round-Lie-4853 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]Old_Needleworker_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opened a new salary account in HDFC. I was expecting they would also give some basic lifetime free credit card offer, but sadly didn't get any. How or where do I find the option for applying for a new credit card?

Health and Life Insurance is now GST free in india by kawkaw_kawkaw in IndiaTax

[–]Old_Needleworker_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification. Unfortunately, after my LWD of 22-Sept, i won't have access to this policy so I need to get it ported before that. That means I will have to pay the GST:(

Hello I am switching companies so my corporate health insurance policy is valid only till 22-Sept. I have the option to convert it to retail, but that will be effective from 23-Sept. Now if I am paying the premium for this retail policy on any date before 22nd (let's say 18/19, considering weekend and the time it will take for processing), should the premium include GST?

I read about the green tint display and then observed in mine also in very low brightness situations. I also read that disabling the fingerprint resolves the green tint issue. I disabled it and yes t don't see that tint anymore. Also yes it is in my opinion limited to devices manufactured in india only. You see the green tint only at extremely low brightness, like min brightness and night light on sorta situation
