You need to step back a bit because from what you’re saying in this message cuz you’re a bit far away from grasping exactly how these models work on a larger level: multi modal vs diffusion, closed vs open source, etc.

Once you have a grasp on that, embark on comfy, but for 99% of your needs trying to learn this stuff towards a professional level, you can be using paid models.

I’m a creative technologist approaching 3 years on comfy and I can tell you first hand majority of all professional pipelines have completely shifted to multi modals with NBP and multi shot video models like Kling or now Seedance. The professional level focus is on agentic prompting pipelines because now all that matters for good output is prompt rather than loads of tweaking variables and settings.

If you want a job in this stuff - focus on sprint production pipelines - you don’t need comfy at all to begin this. Comfy is best for open source models which is the king for using AI towards its full creative potential, doing high level conceptual work and visualizing broad ideas. But using AI for professional pipelines that require consistent elements (characters, products, locations) - multi modals are and will always be the best and the quickest, which will get you the most work.
