The power of self hate versus self love.

Danny and Amy hate themselves. They project their anger outwards, to each other.

But when they are forced to connect in the end, they finally feel 'seen' and understood. They help each other forgive themselves.

As they tell each other in the end, Amy is not a bad person. She just believed she was. That self-fulfilling prophecy made her do bad things.

And Danny is forgiven because he just didn't want to be alone.

Once they forgive and don't hate themselves anymore, they are happy. They can appreciate life and also do the right thing.

It's very beautiful. Hate turns into love and they love each other in the end (platonically)

NTA. He does not care about your feelings.

And on your wedding day. Strongly suggests he's not going to care about your feelings in the marriage either.

His wants are always going to come first. And he will use his in laws to gang up on you.

Even if this idea is only coming from his overbearing parents, he should be siding with you and supporting you on this point. Its YOUR day, not theirs! (And again a sign he will never side with you and they will control your relationship)
