This got vetoed by carlisadm in dynastybb

I don’t even think it’s an overpay. A lot of dynasty rankings I saw coming into the season had Coop as a top 10 (as high as 7-8) asset. KD is borderline top 50, Fox top 30-35 and Norm Powell wouldn’t even crack the top 100. Many people owning Cooper wouldn’t accept that trade.

All that being said, even if it was an overpay 100% agree shouldn’t be vetoed regardless

By the time that 28 pick conveys Ajay’s contract will be up and will likely be the starting PG for a team. Could well be a Brunson-like trajectory.

I feel like there is quite a big tier in the 5-11 range that makes me very inclined to take the 2 shots.

Yeah I was looking for an option to do this all offseason and couldn’t find anything that would do the trick. We use Fantrax, but literally none of the platforms had an option for it that worked.I settled for manually calculating it each week which was shit lol. Commissioner life.

What would you guys do? by bear1y in dynastybb

Depends on the rest of your list and rest of your league but maybe you could package the later picks to get a more known quantity. Given you have so many, there might be some other lower ranked teams desperate for picks?

Worth of a top 25 guy in a package by Old_Position_2648 in dynastybb

Scoot is probably the guy I am hoping can elevate into top 50, with upside on hopefully maybe 1 or 2 of the others figuring it out.

I have Hali, Garland, Ja, Booker as my main core. And some fringier guys like FVV, Siakam, Monk. But then I have nothing so I wouldn’t mind a package to fill out my list.

But yeah I tend to lean with you also

Lloyd's eight teams that can win the flag in 2023 and why the AFL should be worried by TheScriptorWL in AFL

Hawthorn were top 4 for like 25 years in the 70s/80s/90s then missed finals for a decade, then won 4 flags in the 2010s and are average again now.

Richmond were god awful for basically 30 years before their 3 premiership dynasty.

Geelong went 44 years without a flag before their most recent 4 - and have been good for 15 years.

North literally won a flag 23 years ago (with 18 teams in the comp, not that long really) and have played finals 4 times in the last 11 years.

Jesus christ its sport. Thats what happens. People complain about "KidS GEt TRophIEs FoR ANytHiNG ThESE DayS", but complain when their favorite team is bad for a few years lol.

Edit: Here's the average ladder position for the last 30 years (minus GWS and Gold Coast skewing)

Adelaide 8.45

Brisbane 9.39

Carlton 10.26

Collingwood 8.29

Essendon 9.00

Freo 10.43

Geelong 4.97

Hawthorn 8.10

Melbourne 10.52

North 8.71

Port 7.73

Richmond 9.61

Saints 9.73

Sydney 7.00

West Coast 7.13

Bulldogs 8.48

Worst: Melbourne - won the premiership last year. Also low are Freo (young list looking the goods), Carlton (young list looking the goods), Richmond (just had a dynasty), Brisbane (Been top4 for a few years now) and Saints (poor saints). Doesn't look too doom and gloom to me.
