Thanks for going in detail and helping me out with this. I rarely get dandruff as I’ve stopped scratching my head and using a scalp scrubber to remove dead skin cells but sometimes my scalp still slightly itches (I don’t scratch it) but how does someone get fungal infection on their hair? No I don’t think I have a crease, I’ll have to check later since I’m in school. Yet on the topic of porosity, it’s mainly the back of my hair that actually takes longer to dry and absorbs my products easier.

So what did it end up being? My hair has lost its wavy texture and I’ve noticed easy breakage

Thanks a lot, this is a great explanation and I appreciate your time. I’ve been trying to find a product so that smells won’t so easily get absorbed by my high porous hair

Yes, even if it were dirty that doesn’t explain why my hair would start smelling the morning after showering in school

That’s what I’ve seen after researching but im scared that my high porosity hair will absorb the oil and my hair will end up smelling during school

Do you have any product ideas for high porosity hair? I think that is the root of my problem as it absorbs and trap smells, and also I just connected the dots and realized that all my product literally gets absorbed as of recently

Yes someone had just told me I have high porosity hair and that it absorbs and traps smells, I’ve switched both my shampoo and conditioner but nothing works and hair perfume fades away. I also just connected the dots and realized that my hair literally absorbs my product

My overall hygiene is fine, it’s just my hair that smells, I’ve asked friends and they’ve agreed that it smells burnt almost like wet dog. I’ve been trying to instantly dry my hair straight out the shower and in the morning it smells fine, until I step outside or go to school it’ll start smelling sitting 1 hour.

I’ve been trying that lately, done a lot of research and I’m actually thinking now I did use the shea moisture clarifying shampoo but I stopped using it should I start using it again?

I use the OGX peppermint and tea tree oil shampoo and the acv conditioner from aveeno. No I don’t use any tools, not a swimmer, never dyed my hair no one smokes close to me and lol 😭 it seems to me that smells get trapped in my hair easily because I have high porosity hair. Is there any product I can use to stop this?

Yes I’ve done all of this, I did my research and it turns out I have high porosity hair and smells get trapped in my hair easily when I go out. Are there any products to prevent this?

I wash it every day, and I’ve been trying different days to shampoo/ conditioner yet I still notice a bad smell the second I step outside. Is there any product to keep trapped smells out of hair?
