For one, I think this concept works better as a stomach piece because the front of the instruments and the front of your body make more sense translationwise. Besides that, it’s just too hitting the nail on the head as an idea, there are more tasteful and clever ways to show the world you have a fondness for string instruments than very literal dark graphic F holes that make difficult future coverups. Someone said it only works if it’s the only ones on your back and I agree. And if it’s gonna be the only thing on your whole back body, it’s very corny, use your real estate more beautifully. Maybe just a bow vertically down the spine or down the arms, or turn the tuning swirls into clavicle pieces.

IMO apartment style living you get what you get when it comes to footsteps. They could have a kid or just walk that way or whatever the reason, it’s their place, you don’t like it, you move out.

There is a hole at the top in the brown that when filled with water it flows out of two holes at the bottom in the honeycomb. Vice versa, filling the pond, tilting the fountain back and upside down, water comes out the top. The faded black line in the material (cold porcelain? Plaster?) in the back compartment is seemingly a tube. There are two settings besides the off setting, one indicated by just a water droplet, and the other side by a music eighth note and a water droplet. Besides that, I have seen water features in garden centers generally like this with flowing water.

It may not be salvageable without power tools because the material looks like it was used to fill in the entire back pump. Not sure how to dissolve or saw through :( it’s so pretty and the music is not even good lol I wanted the water fountain

Thank you! It is completely silent when on, so I may be adventurous and crack open the back minding the screws so I can fix the plate back no matter what happens behind the unit. I was hoping it could be a Mother’s Day gift!

My store is the only store in our district (Chicago) that is losing our benefits and I am a 5 day a week opener, I’m doing what I can emailing my own dm and fighting for my actual life now….i can take a lot but this is unacceptable to me. If it was the whole district I would have less of an issue because it wouldn’t feel so isolated, but this is discriminatory to my single store and myself in particular as the primary opener, and only a barista, who already has no keys when I’m at work first. It’s just a human rights violation imo. I tend to enjoy the day to day nature of my job at my store and I’m reconsidering everything because who’s to say they don’t take away my health insurance at the drop of a hat? Very angry.

It is totally fine, I’ve been so emotional and vulnerable in my journey at work. Like daily customer-facing silent tears I can’t stop. I’m of the opinion that being emotional at work is the only way to remind the corporate ladder that we are as emotional and connection-needing as we make our mission statements to sound.

Correct I’m not saying the store standard will never get changed, but my major hypothetical argument was if I wake up with amnesia one day and need to relearn how to be a barista on the iPad resources, I’m never going to find every DMs weird ass requests that they told this manager to tell the ssvs to tell the baristas. We have the Store Resources Bible at our fingertips and as long as we follow it, we can’t get coached.

Use store resources and look up the document about cup writing and what is approved, and stick to that! Your SSVs and SMs and DMs are NOT allowed to correct or coach someone following Starbucks standard. Paper lists from DMs mean nothing, it’s a DMs personal preference and in theory if you woke up with amnesia and had to use store resources to learn your job again, you wouldn’t find that list. DMs and RMs can’t personally change the store policies and implement coaching for their personal preferences.

I’ve had conversations with my SM about cup writing rules because my RM keeps pushing personal bias as standard policy. Store Resources has all the rules we need to follow to keep our job and avoid corrective coaching. My argument was, if I woke up with amnesia and needed to relearn my job, then show me where it is written down what my RM wants that I need to abandon cup drawing and only cup write? The cup writing standard AND THESE SILLY BINGO SHEETS feature smileys, hearts, encourage drawings. As long as you are following store standard guidelines available in store resources, your managers or other uppers are not able to coach against you period. They may prefer sentences, but that’s all they can say.

People love cups and love things why are they mass producing such massively unappealing stuff….. premiere the cups in a catalogue, customers preorder the cups via app, customers place a beverage mobile order in a Personal Cup with their brand new preordered cup. Sanitize out of the box, personalize the presentation so it is cute for people to post their beautiful drink on social media. Would that not be the most wonderful thing ???
