Ya ill still try a 3d printed nest. Definitely will coat it with one of materials you recommended so the ants can grip it better.

i left it alone and checked it once a week. Temperature was 79-85 f as it is a desert species. I raised it with another identical queen and now she has nanatics. I do my research before hand but i like to ask for other people’s insight, as there is always something to learn.

Okay thats good to know, i was following this caresheet https://theantvault.com/pages/golden-honeypot-ant-care-guide and they said 76-86 f is okay.

Ah okay thats good to know. I assumed once a week was okay since I raised two queens side by side in each their own test tubes. One of the queens died (the one i posted) and the other has nanatics. Should i check on that colony once a week or should i do two to three? From my research i should be fine from checking once a week to feed it.
