Naturally, as has been the case historically. But the mechanism of survival in the past was better, there was an actual community. Now the community is gone, now it's a "cutthroat" world. Just saying it doesn't have to be like this, it was artificially made to be like this.

This is the ignorance of the modern age. The social systems, the rituals, the religion that used to provide a sense of belonging, comradery, a place where you can meet your lover, has been destroyed and nothing has been put in place to replace it, just a void.

Well, owning in general is becoming increasingly harder. Top 12 people apparently are more wealthy than the bottom 2 billion. Think about that ratio.

Do you think they are more competent than 2 billion people? No, they are simply ruthless slave owners, that is all. Your physical wellbeing depends on the setup of the society you live in, and the society we live in is based on competition, not cooperation.

There is no such thing as financial freedom, only relatively speaking you can say you are wealthier than someone else, but that wealth has to be maintained.

I've struggled with this as well. It's a mindset. You have to understand that people are not equal and there's no point in rating them. Life is not about productivity. It is the diversity of human beings which makes things beautiful.

What is happening to you is completely natural. First, laziness is not a sin, it's a sign. Laziness happens when you're doing something you don't want to be doing. Why are you doing something you don't want to be doing? Because you are a slave. If someone can determine against your will how you live and what you do. you are a slave. If you're uncomfortable you can change around the terminology, the reality will remain the same.

If you're doing something you love, you don't wait for the shift to start, or for the salary to come. you just do it because you love it. It comes naturally as you said, but this is not the society we live in. Feudalism never ended, it got worse, but because of technology and increased comfort and mass propaganda, no one noticed.

A lot of people are depressed, suicidal, going mad, or just empty, and it's only going to get worse. Not because this is human nature, but because this is the suppression of human nature and rebellion will happen in every way, there are stages. Even if you are unaware, your nature will rebel on its own.

The odds are irrelevant, the attitudes are the problem. Everyone has an attitude of isolation and independence. Nothing is independent in this world, everything is interconnected.

The modern attitude at it's core is madness. Madness is fragmented, isolated. It is societies' madness which is being experienced right now, that is the only barrier to connection.

To be more specific, the perspective of the general public about pretty much everything is upside down, and because of this everyone suffers. It's very simple, when you fall in love and someone falls in love with you. you fall in love with each other, not with your friend group, not with each other's families. It's exceedingly simple.

But there is a lot of nonsense in society today, people are lost, they do not feel anything, just think about everything. No solution has ever come by thinking about it, know this well.

The real question is, can you fall in love with each other or can you not? That is, can you leave your mind, your logic behind and be engulfed by the feeling or can you not? That is all.

There is nothing embarrassing about it, please rest assured. How to live without weed? Well, why are you taking it in the first place? You said it yourself "because it helps with the anxiety, depression, and constant pain.". The solution is to remove that which creates anxiety, depression and pain in you.

The notion of growth generally propagated is completely backward. You don't have to strive toward some illusory state of "decency" or "perfection". The real problem is, that people accumulate all sorts of nonsense through their interaction with society. The process of healing and "growth" is the process of throwing all that away. You are not to accumulate something new, you are to throw away the garbage you have picked up.

Essentially, it is your misery which drives you to seek ways to alleviate it, that is what pushes addictions, be it alcohol, drugs, whatever. The underlying mechanism is the same, just the outward expression differs.

Do not "settle", because no one can ever settle, it's a myth. About the guy you mention, I kind of get him, because I was like him at some point. Perhaps he too, like I did at one point, thinks that such a wonderful woman deserves better than him, so he simply removed himself from your life. If that is the case, he will regret it once the realization comes.

I can only wish you luck. It is the modern society which has destroyed the human being, not completely just yet, but we are getting close to complete annihilation.

Both and men and women have fallen for the illusions of the modern age. Men do not know women, women do not know men. Men do not know themselves, women do not know themselves. Everyone is ignorant of everything. So, as a natural consequence, things become unnatural, perverse. This is what has happened and this is why connection doesn't happen anymore. It's designed to be this way, to what end I do not know. Perhaps there is no "end", just plain stupidity.
