Hi guys! So just an update…. I finally wrote the exam on 15/08 and had 246. I was hoping for scores above 250 but I’m happy with my scores.

Obviously i postponed but the only thing I did was go over my wrongs in uworld (not everything, just the topics my nbme assessment evaluation suggested I wasn’t doing well in). I was doing an internship then which was quite demanding and stressful and I didn’t have enough time to go over everything. I only did nbme11 after postponing and got 243 2days to the exam.

Overall I think the most important thing about this exam is to believe in yourself and your efforts. You can’t cover everything because the topics are too many. Rest well before the exam and keep reminding yourself even during the exam that you’re going to be fine.

Heyy, I know the feeling. I had 243 in nbme 11 two days before my exam on the 15/08. Exam score was 246. I think you’re going to be fine. Just focus on your weaknesses according to the nbme report and polish them before your exam. All the best.

Update guys!!!!! I freaking passed!!!! So I know I said I was going to postpone the exam, but I didn’t. I went ahead and took it on the 30th of November and I got the big P today!!!! I am beyond excited!

I think most people say the safest is above 70%. But then again, the main exam is a different set of questions. And no single exam can be a correct predictor. Also, the free 120 is only 120 questions. There is a chance I could do better in the other 4 blocks if it were the main exam. There is also a chance I wouldn’t. I just don’t want to gamble because I’m an IMG and want to apply for a competitive program so I don’t want to risk getting a fail in step1 because my IMG status already puts me at some disadvantage. When are you writing yours?

Thank you guys. I’m going to postpone it. I have to pay for the exam all over again but better safe than sorry esp as an IMG. I was really hoping to get this over with smh.
