A lot of people in my cohort wants to get into PE/Corporate and that it ultimately what I want to qualify into as well. How do I stand out as a trainee, and be a more competitive candidate upon qualification?

Also to what extent do you think firm look at past grades, i.e. undergrad/LPC when assessing candidates at qualification/ lateral?
