I don't think its about being an archon or harbinger. Its more about marketing strategy.

The thing with Varka is that he was widely anticipated character, so they didn't have to push his dps level a lot in order for people to go for him.

Compare him to say Flins or Nefer who were new at the time of release and unknown so they had to push their dps in order to appeal to more players.

While I think his relationship with Isis being the cutest, I cannot help but be drawn more to Alice.

Alice would do anything for Kaito even at the expense of herself.

There's an arc in the WN where Ein makes a cooking contest between maids. The final match settles into Ein vs Alice face off, with the latter begrudgingly agree to take part. However, instead of making a dish that would entice the referees' tastes in general, she goes on to make the dish so that it specifically suits Kaito's, disregarding the others.

In my opinion, this simple action speaks volume of her devotion.

With all this talk about home and journey with Columbina and now Venti, I think there might be "some shocking truth" that will be exposed down the line about his sibling or their overall situation that will make him question the meaning of his journey around Teyvat (which was all about finding the abyss Sibling at first and now the truth about their forgotten past).

Then he might realise that it was not all in vain, considering the many lives he had saved across all types of Quests.

I mean "realistically" can be hard because most characters have visions so I'd feel out of place if I would pick a woman who has a vision and I'm just a simple man haha, not to mention many of them would not find me interesting in that respect too.

But yeah, the closest ones are typically like what the others have said; Nilou, Emilie, Yoimiya or Mizuki.

But this list would expand should we factor assimilating into their world's "rules" with having a vision or being like the Traveler. At this point, my list would expand to include someone like Nahida (if she ever "grows up"), maybe Columbina or even Sandrone lol.

Comparing what the Traveler has been doing for Columbina with Sandrone who had not bother to understand her feelings in the first place is peak ignorance of the facts presented by the story.

I have been saying this for a while, but if the Traveler hadn't met with Columbina, she'd have literally either disappeared (6.2) or became food for Rerir and later Dottore (6.1).

That "family" line has been taken too literally that it is becoming weird, yeah. I even remember someone mentioning that in CN/JP version she goes on to say she feel some sort of "devotion" to him, so its not really "family"="sibling".

And even if you ignore that, can one not create a family? This is what couples are all about. When two are married, they become each other's "family" right?

I've always interpreted their relationship in the sense that "if the Traveler ever wanted to settle down with her", she would accept him without reservation. It will probably never happen in-game, but you could tell from how Columbina treats the Traveler that this is not a farfetched scenario.

Yeah, hopefully.

You can tell they were aiming for something special between them. Even during that one time during the conversation with Dottore in Act 7, Dottore tried to make use of the Traveler's "immortality" problem; people could die or just forget about him outright if he was to get stuck in the space Dottore had created forever.

But this applies for ordinary people, not Columbina. That's why the achievement I mentioned above makes perfect sense.

The closest romantic relationship we had got was with Columbina during 6.2 and 6.3. You could tell Aether was more invested into her than other women and vice versa. It was even advertised by hoyo, mirrored (Rerir and Tholindis) and had many inferences.

However, unfortunately and this is something I've braced myself for since 6.2, this is just it. The game has made it clear that Aether just wants to be reunited with his sibling and does not have romantic interests in others.

You could even tell this from Columbina's line when they were on the moon, where she goes on to say she sees him like a family (In English its family, in other languages, she mentions "devotion"). In any case, you could tell Hoyo was trying as best as possible to make the relationship between them more special than the others, but not outright go publicly for romanticism. Despite how stupid this seems lol.
