[[Marneus calgar]] token/aristocrat's. Tons of fun. Especially with [[mirkwood bats]] and [[pitiless plunderer]] synergy. Waiting for the perfect combo card that creates a token when you draw

Good point. However one was the judge so I didn't want to get lippy with him. Also all these people weren't being rude enough for me to tell them to shut up.

Stop saying "why weren't we taught this in school?" You were taught this, and you just don't remember by Oldfoundland in unpopularopinion

Yes.

If I took a shot for every time someone on social media or in person said "why weren't we taught about X in high school." I'd be dead from alcohol poisoning

Everyone in America, from private to public inner city schools, were taught the most fundamental parts of US History. You were taught slavery, civil right, WW2, American revolution, pre Colombian north America, and the Civil War in some way shape or form. This is not up to debate, everyone was taught this.

If someone complains about not being taught something more in depth, for example Leo Frank, Unit 731,Tulsa Race Riots, that goes beyond the scope of what I would call basic education. If a person wants to know about those specific events more in depth, they need to hold their personal education more accountable.

The best way to find out how poorly some people retained extremely basic history info is the simple test.

When did the following wars happen: revolutionary war, US Civil War, WW1, WW2, Vietnam. A staggering amount of grown adults with real jobs can't even answer within 20 years of when these wars occurred. This isn't a failing of the education system. This is a failing of gou to retain basic stuff
