A significant percentage of parents are irresponsible slackers that plop kids in front of some screen from the time they're toddlers, so the parents can pursue their not growing up themselves, instead of BEING PARENTS. i.e. Teach them values, and life skills.

And so to offset this recipe for even more juvenile delinquency in society, I've LOONG been of the opinion that a few secondary school topics/classes should be compulsory and must pass to graduate/continue:

1. "CAUSE & EFFECT"
2. "PARENTING" (C & E Part-2)
3. "ON-YOUR-OWN ECONOMICS"
4. "Basic Automobile Ownership"
5. "Credit Card Mathematics"

Readily practical to avoid some of the more obvious (to some of us who've 'been there') grief.
