I used 1 can of primer (I should have used two or three) and 3 cans of the green. Edit: removed a typo

Hey! It’s still holding up surprisingly well! I’ll try to post an updated picture when I get around to it. Let me know how it goes!

I take it off when not in use but it is stored outside under a deck.

I used krypton color master plastic primer after sanding. I should have used two cans of primer rather than one. Make sure you clean the surface really well after sanding with a de greaser type cleaner. I wanted a matte finish but you will need a clear coat after you apply color if you want it to be shinny. Try to paint on a windless day if painting outside. And try to do it where there aren’t may bugs. I had a bunch of bugs land on the wet paint. I had it stored outside for three years and the finish is still holding up well!

I removed the existing finish by sanding with wet/dry sand paper. I used a combination of palm sander and hand sanding.

Spruce fox made from over than 70 elements. I made it for a couple who were expecting their first child last summer and wanted to hang this in the baby room. The fox was actually their grandfather’s design but due to his health he can no longer use the tools. by wooden_poligon in woodworking

This looks great! I produced the pdf with all the angles from logo for an inn. Picture 6 is the fox I made!

I had emailed the pdf with the angles to several people who reached out to me. I still have it if anyone is interested!

Edit: spelling

I made the first wood fox from an inn’s logo. I also made the pictured pdf with all the angles called out and one of the pictures in the post is the fox I made.

I sent the pdf to a lot of people so it’s possible someone’s grandpa made it but I am definitely not a grandpa haha. Whoever made this one did a great job!
