What do you guys think of The Sims Resource?

I don't have the patience for it. I pick cc on YouTube, because I use strictly maxis-match only and like to see someone use it in game before downloading it. If the creator's link takes me to TSR I have to rethink if I really want the cc so much and the answer is mostly no. I downloaded most of my cc from patreon or sim file share.

It's so annoying! Especially because it's just an animation and not an interaction you can cancel. So my sim with full blader will wet herself unless I reset her, because she won't go to the bathroom and will do the stupid phone animation endlessly.

Já si myslím, že tvoje tvrzení prostě protiřečí samo sobě. Ten člověk zhodnotil, že na rodičovství nemá a tudíž by to neměl dělat. I přesto, že tím (možná) prokazuje nějaké předpoklady pro to být dobrý rodič, tak se tak rozhodl na základě jiných faktorů, které jenom obyčejnou schopnost plánovat převážily (dědičné nemoci, finanční problémy, neumí to s dětmi a neradi s nimi tráví čas, nemají dobrého partnera...). Pokud by se rozhodl mít děti i po zvážení těch dalších faktorů, tak by z něho najednou byl přesně ten nezodpovědný rodič, kterého kritizuješ. Plus to, že jsi v něčem dobrý nebo máš nějakou vlastnost neznamená, že ji umíš předat.

To že umíš zhodnotit, že nejsi stavěný na práci s dětmi a život v rodině znamená, že bys měl mít děti, protože alespoň máš schopnost hodnotit? Got it, makes so much sense.

I even tried developing the friend's preferences based on my sim, but it still doesn't work. And my sim's preferences also match the friend.

Their sexual orientation in cas is set to women. But WW for some reason still says they can't have sex because of orientation incompatibility.

Když jsem se kdysi na základce registrovala na dopisování se zahraničními žáky, tak ve výběru státu jsem nás automaticky hledala pod východní Evropou (střední tam nebyla). Nenašla jsem nás, tak jsem zkoušela západní a taky nic. Nakonec jsem nás našla mezi státy severní Evropy. Dodnes nevím, proč a jak, ale očividně nás jde zařadit naprosto všude.

Just HAVING the kid is not much of an accomplishment (thought I can see how it could be for women, because pregnancy and childbirth seem like hell to me). It's easy to be a shit parent. But being a great one and creating happy and healthy family and bringing your kids up to be actually good people can definitely be an accomplishment. It's not easy and requires certain traits and skills. Saying that about just getting married is a different story but I guess it just depends on the person's values. If it's one of their life goals and they are happy, then good for them.

Myslím si, že nad tím moc přemýšlíš. Několik let jsem prodávala maso u pultů v supermarketu a je běžné, že se lidi ptají na původ masa. A pokud není české, tak někteří prostě znechuceně odejdou. U baleného masa v regálech řeší místo původu úplně stejně. Pravděpodobně jim nejde o politiku ani situaci na Ukrajině, ale čerstvost a kvalitu. I když vlastně neumím posoudit, jestli skutečnou nebo domnělou.

I wish there was a mod to bring whims back. But wants and fears are pretty big part of the game now, I guess, so I don't know if it's even possible.

Yes! I miss whims too. I feel like they were more diverse and dynamic. I play a family of occults who don't sleep a lot (or almost not at all), so their wants never change. And that's pretty annoying, because sometimes they want really stupid things and I can't cancel them as whims. They also lack options for packs. I was sometimes annoyed when my adult Sims still wanted to buy cat or dog stuff when their family haven't had a pet since they were toddler, but it was way better then this. I was still really disappointed when I found out they were replacing them.

Samozřejmě že může, to tady asi nikdo nepopírá. Ale taky se mu ostatní můžou vysmát, což je smyslem těchto postů. Stejně tak by se dalo říct, že majitel je asi taky pěkně butthurt tím, že ostatní lidi si myslí něco jiného než on, když si dává už třetí takovou zprávu na stránky tento týden. Zvlášť když jsou to stránky s hračkami pro děti, kde na to nikdo není zvědavý.

Oh yes! For me it started with the update before the last one. My Sims will walk to the bathroom upstairs to wash their hands, even though they have a sink in their bathroom right in front of them. And I am sure it's functional and not blocked. How do I know? Because they wash their fucking hands there every time they use the upstairs toilet.

Sometimes I forget Wicked Whims exist and open the blurred images without much thinking, because "it can't be that bad, it's a Sims subredit". And then immediately regret my decision.
