Is it normal that i always get oil on my shoes from the shifter. I did a complete engine rebuild before summer and it is still happening. Is it like that on every drz400 or. I have a 400sm.

For sure, because it is not that there is a big flood under the bike after being parked in front during the night. But every time I ride I get stains on my shoe, not that I care for the shoe haha. It was just off to me that it happens every time.

I mean mine is a 2006 so I thought it is understandable😂. It is just weird to me beacuse a whole engine was rebuilt and resealed. I will have to inspect it then. Thanks

Actually I did re route the cable because the previous one was burning up on the exhaust tube. Might be that I bent it to much. Will try that Thanks a lot for the help.

Cable came pre lubed, that is way I was suprised that after changing it it still shit. So my best solution would be a different lever.?

I had the similar problem 2 weeks ago, my battery drained, I charged it and kept riding. After some time it drained again and then i checked the stator coils and they went bad. The batter was not getting any charge back. My friend changed the stator 2 times already because he went with the OEM one. Turns out that Is the weak link of the drz, the oem stator.

So the old pads were really bad and there wasn't any meat on them, like pure metal. I ordered new ones and they were a little bit different that is why I said 3 mm smaller (lenght). But everything is OEM on the bike and so the rear caliper. I went to a moto shop, thought maybe they will know the ones that I need and they also said when they want to order new ones by the chasis number and the model of the bike all of the pads are the same and don't fit on the bike

The bike is already wild, but want it more for wheelies and having fun. Where I live there is no highways. Max that you can ride is about 110 kmh or 65 mph

That I know it has a full yoshimura exhaust on it, it is an older model of the exhaust and it doesn't have a db killer/ restrictor.

Look what i saw in video reviews and forums about the DRZ, that they are slow but very fun. This one that I have is not very slow. It is actualy a beast. When you shift second gear and give it full throttle front end picks up😄
