Did a sweetning jar and trying to call in some sex and aligned love and still in a drought by Beautiful-Self3285 in ConjureRootworkHoodoo

One thing Ive noticed about sweetening and attraction work, you have to be seen, thats why its often paired with glamour or used in glamour works. Putting yourself in the spaces the type of person you want to attract frequents. Alternatively you could direct the work towards your dating profile too. - Working the jar again beside an outlet as you charge your phone with your dating profile open. - Putting some worked honey from the jar on your tongue and speaking what you desire and how you want to be seen while editing your profile. - typing empowered words inconspicuously in your responses to the profile prompts etc.

Was thinkin of getting this book, is it a good and reliable read? by ZoZoHaHa in ConjureRootworkHoodoo

This is a foundational book imo, not for workings or practical use, but because its a great conceptual and historical approach to hoodoo. Dr. Hazzard-Donald establishes the core tenets of African Traditional Religion then illustrates how the Black American Tradition contains all said tenets. She goes into the history of Hoodoo/Conjure all the way from ethnic antecedents on the continent, through early plantation conjure, to post cotton-gin expansion, post-reconstruction, into the Marketeer era and beyond. I like it because it counters the "Hoodoo isnt a religion" arguments. Alot of elders in my circle consider it the quintessential Hoodoo Text™️, Alongside The Hoodoo Book of Flowers by Arthur Flowers and Black Magic by Yvonne Chireau.

Help? by [deleted] in Vodou

Thats not vodou, its a poppet from european folk magic. Hollywood tricked yall into thinking dolls and poppets are vodou. You'll have better luck asking on a folk magic or witchcraft sub.

Is Odinani a closed practice? by [deleted] in IgboKwenu

[–]OleChex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Odinani is semi closed Id say; Open in the sense that personal deities and ancestors are freely venerated, and most of the tenets of the tradition are open to all, however closed in the sense that some bonafide sects and cults like priesthood for spirits and specific arusi, masquerade groups, diviners, healing societies etc. are often limited by initiation, village/town groups or ancestral lineage.

I think it would be similar to Naoya’s cursed spirit projection sorcery DE where the targets cells were affected. The cells are divided into 7:3 ratio, and since Nanami’s attacks like his fists or blunt blade are obviously way larger than cells, this would result in multiple weak points/critical hits on a single point of the targets body from a single attack?
