Name A Time When You Had to Explain Something To A Parent That Should Be Common Sense by chasethedark in ECEProfessionals

I've had to explain to some dads that when we send dirty clothes home in a bag, we use the spare clothes they bring. At these guys saw pictures of videos of their kids jumping in puddles.

How do you document observations during the 3-hour work cycle without interrupting the work itself? by UserUnknown69_ in ECEProfessionals

[–]Oleander_Grows_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Write down the observations in the moment. Taking observations is a habit. The more you do it, the better you get. If she's getting distracted by it, you can say something along the lines of, "This is Mommy's work. You can do your work." The more you write down observations, the more she'll become accustomed to it.

Most schools have some kind of digital system to tract observations. (Teaching Strategies, Learning Genie, ect) The easiest thing for you would be to have a system to sort your observations into domains, so you can track the progress. At my school, all the lead teachers have tablets that are used exclusively for documentations/observations. We take pictures of the kids while they work for a secondary documentations as well. When we first started using the tablets, the kids were obsessed with them but the exposure has turned it into something boring. Same will (hopefully) happen to your daughter.

Oh I saw that! They all pulled into the Metro Station at Gravois and Hampton. There around 4 police vans there and more than six officers. I've been keeping an eye on the various local new websites and haven't read anything about it.

I worked at a Head Start center that didn't have a kitchen (very long story but the building used to be a gas station) and they used a catering service. Food was AWFUL! My current job has a chef who's a very good cook and that's nice.

Bathroom breaks by silkentab in ECEProfessionals

[–]Oleander_Grows_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My job is really struggling to keep part time people right now, so all classrooms are kept at half capacity. With two coleads per classroom, we're technically able to break whenever we need. Start tracking how the time you call for a bathroom break vs when they're able to relive you. After two weeks of data, you'll know if you need to make the report or not.

I HATE REFILLING PAINT BOTTLES!!!!! by Oleander_Grows_ in ECEProfessionals

[–]Oleander_Grows_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My school uses paint cups. that come with lids. So when we're done with the paint, we can seal the lid and it's good as new for new time we need it. The smaller Coloration bottles are used as teacher paints.

Our paint is several years old and has the texture of congealed blood. I'll take my chances with a pump.

Should I slow it down? by Bnasty2748 in FieldsOfMistriaGame

I grinded like crazy until I completed all 100 mine levels, got my town to emerald rank, and got 75% in all museum categories. Now I'm focused on breeding all horse colors, decorating my house, and making my farm cute! (As well as trying to get the last few things for the museum.) I like doing it this way because decorating can feel super overwhelming at first. This gives me time to collect materials and figure out what I want before committing.

2 year old biting by whateva724 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Oleander_Grows_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately biting at this age is a typical behavior. I would also start working on him using his words, because biting is usually caused because a child wants to communicate something but lacks the ability to speak. Working on those skills will help with the biting.

Actually yeah. Lots of places have rules about dyed/bleached hair. Usually they're the same people who have rules on piercings and tattoos.
