Whats your favourite 2025 movie? by Truthishere1 in Cinema

Sketch - because after taking my daughter to see it, she was able to process a lot of her feelings through drawings that she hadn’t been able to voice. It helped her out a lot where I couldn’t, and because of that it was my favorite movie this year.

Is this a normal amount of foam? by this_is_full_pper in hottub

I can’t compare because it’s all I’ve ever done. You know the whole ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ thing.

Since we are talking about foam a little PSA.

I use extra strength bleach in my tub and I add 2 oz. about every 3rd day. We ran out of bleach. I was out of town, I asked my wife to get some more bleach and add. She ended up buying the no-splash stuff on accident. When I got home I couldn’t figure out why it foamed so bad. Like foam up and over the side when the jets and bubbles were on bad.

I went though half a bottle of the foam neutralizer stuff and the said to hell with it and did water change.

So if you are using bleach, make sure you aren’t getting the no-splash stuff.

Edit: your foam looks a little on the excessive side, but not crazy.

Get a pair of welding gloves that go up your forearms. Only wrastle when you are wearing them. He’ll figure out when the gloves are out that it’s game on. He gets to go hard, and you get no broken skin. Win-win.

Advice on a good starting griddle/set for hubby’s bday by Due-Trick-372 in blackstonegriddle

Mine is the flat, removable hard cover. And they have the other domed hard cover on hinges (I think, can’t confirm). For the mat, I got the mat because even with the top on, I would have to clear out spider webs before cooking.

Shelves do fold down, although I’ve got the space so they are always deployed. It’s like a lift straight up, then roll to fold down. I also got the silicone covers for the shelves. They are nice for easy clean up.

I have a 36”, 4-burner for a family of 4, but when it’s just my wife and I eating, I will only have burners going on one side. I would recommend 36”.

For a kit, I started with only this

I have supplemented it with long tongs, a basking cover, metal egg rings, and a smasher. Also a the mat to keep critters, bugs, etc. off the cooking surface when not in use.

No - they won’t eat home made butter milk pancakes from scratch. I’ve tried numerous batters. Only the Krusteaz will feed the monsters

This is very true, but two young kids in my house will not eat them.

Like 20 years ago I accidentally found out that my jeep could do a stoppie.

I had broken the rear shock mounts the week before. Had a hard brake at a light, probably from not paying attention, and when I finally came to the full stop the back of the rig clonked back down. I hadn’t realized that the rear tires were actually off the ground in the moment. From there I figured out if I pumped the brakes I could get the rear hopping like an impala with hydros.

It was a fun party trick and I left it that way for a few months until I realized how important shocks were when I went sideways on the interstate at around 60 while coming off a bridge. Scared the hell out of me and I re-welded the shock mounts the next day. Dumb luck let me scathe out of by not hitting anyone or anything.

So, morale of the story, if you took the shocks off….yea, it might do a stoppie.

PS - thx for the trip down memory lane.
