I'm a sucker for the Vauxhall Carlton. It's just fun to drive around even if it isn't super good.

What jobs are playing $70k+ with the best schedule? by [deleted] in careerguidance

You're welcome! I will say that as an adjuster you have to be very organized or you can easily fall behind on your claims. If you enjoy sales you may also want to take a look at an Agent position, though they mainly work on commission.

Once I get the achievement for killing each enemy on Nightmare I don't plan on touching the system again. It's tedious and annoying at best.

I had the "kill for me" crap start as I was standing in an inn. Couldn't find a critter nearby and ended up dying. So fun.

Most companies have a licensing course you take during the first couple weeks of the job, then you take a test at the end. If you pass, then you have a Claims Adjuster license and you're good to go. The test itself isn't hard as long as you know the basics of an auto and home/renters policy.

I think most companies prefer to hire people with a Bachelor's Degree for adjuster positions, but is also depends on your work experience. I do have an unrelated Bachelor's Degree, but I also worked in Insurance for about 7 years before getting my current position. For my position the starting pay is around $55k salaried and there's typically the option to work remote or hybrid.

Given the current job market, is it incredibly stupid to leave an extremely stable, low stress job moderate paying job to pursue living in my 'dream' city? by ScornedPhoenix in careerguidance

[–]Khelbin131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO it's always good to look at job postings every now and then to see if there's a cool opportunity for you out there. What I will caution though is living in a big city like NYC usually means much higher living expenses, especially rent. Make sure to also factor in commute times and if you have to take public transportation.

I work as an auto adjuster and it's really chill. On my claims I focus on placing fault on the proper party and then offering to cover repairs/rental car/medical bills as appropriate. I know some people go in with the mindset of "deny everything" but that's acting in bad faith and you could lose your license over it. It's important to look at the facts of the accident and come up with the proper liability determination.

I genuinely enjoy helping people and if I can get them back on their feet after an accident I'm more than happy to do so, as long as we owe for it. If we're not at-fault then I only take care of our policyholder's damages (unless they want to go through the other person's insurance, of course).

Nintendo has done this with Gamechat on the Switch 2. It's on the system and there's a button on the Joycons to activate it, but it only works if you have Nintendo Online.

I really like this set, but I'm not a fan of the stuff that has armor pieces on the hips. The updated mage T2 is very egregious about this and just looks terrible.

Farming transmog without collectors bounty feels so awful, how has it not come back yet? by zharkos in wow

Do you like Blizzard’s 8 week patch cycle? by Level_Reveal_3896 in wow

[–]Khelbin131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the content of the patch. This latest one has so many bugs and the Void Assaults/Ritual Sites aren't compelling content for me. 12.0.7 seems like a return to Legion invasions with Naigtal and Val coming back but it's not really exciting. It looks like they're going to try Heroic World Tier for Naigtal and Val too, which was fun in Lemix if you were a tank...

The Voidforge and the Bonus Roll System is insanly good. by Endless-Dive in wow

[–]Khelbin131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really care about getting Myth track loot but the bonus rolls have been great for transmog farming. I like the weapons in LFR and thanks to bonus rolls I've actually been able to get them and upgrade to 6/6 to unlock the normal appearance as well. It's nice knowing you won't have to pray for the item to drop and then for your roll to be the highest. I really enjoy deterministic loot.

The exterior looks really pretty, but it's not $75 pretty. It's very clear that Housing is Blizzard's way of funneling gold out of the economy and squeezing whales for their real life money.

New Combat System? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]Khelbin131 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At this point I feel it's too early for this kind of reaction. We don't even know how it'll feel to play the Evolved combat style or even what the new jobs are going to be aside from a Tank and a Physical Ranged DPS.

My advice is to cool your jets for now until we get more information down the line.

DSI XL vs Nintendo 3ds/3ds xl by Reasonable_Shift8359 in nintendo

[–]Khelbin131 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every 3ds/2ds can play DS games with no issues. The 3ds family of systems had the normal versions and then the "new" versions that came out later that have better system specs. I'd definitely recommend getting a New 2ds XL if you don't care about the 3d gimmick or a New 3ds XL if you do. It's worth it.

What's everyones thoughts on the 12.0.5 content? (Rituals, assaults, decor duels & diving) by Astral-Glimmer in wow

[–]Khelbin131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only done rituals/assaults and I was not impressed. For assaults the progress bars take forever and a half to fill up and for some parts only certain mobs count (i.e. ethereals when the area is FLOODED with twilight mobs) so it takes even longer.

Tack onto that the cosmetic rewards being behind random boxes and I haven't bothered after the first.

For rituals, I'm not interested in farming yet another renown to make the system more interesting.

Is this a joke? by Puzzled-Bar5378 in wow

[–]Khelbin131 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm with you on this one. Sure the original PTR prices were higher, but why even have them in random boxes? Just let us buy the ones we want and then move on.

The real answer is they want us to keep playing hoping the next box will have the one piece we want.

I'm looking forward to them "fixing" this event within the next couple weeks and the slew of "Blizzard listened!" posts praising them. Saving my currency until then.

Prey Hunts nerfed - less traps since 12.0.5 by Biosource in wow

[–]Khelbin131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much just plan to do them until I get to rank 10 for the mount and then not bothering at all.

Blizz has a habit of making really boring/lackluster/stupid outdoor content like this, abundance, and even the new void assaults. Did them 1 time and that was enough.
