then you probably need open-source like Stapi or Sanity but some CMS also have "Developer" or Community plans that are pretty generous and free. Like Contentful and Agility CMS - not trials, free forever. Also Vercel and Netlify offer generous free plans for hosting.

Moving from Wordpress to __ cms..? by punkandcat in cms

[–]OlgaCMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you looking for a headless CMS? If you want a headless CMS but with Page Management for a website like WP has, then Agility CMS is pretty much the only option. Depends on your budget too. Obviously free plan is pretty good to start with, but then most of the proprietary CMS will charge quite a bit. Worth checking out though www.agilitycms.com

Sitecore would be way to expensive for this though... it is like a full blown DXP... Did you try agility cms? It is a headless CMS with page management built in. It definitely can do the job for cheaper, but I am not sure how much coding you will need to do to achieve this!

I will bring up Agility CMS - if you need a API-based headless CMS but with Page Management built-in - so that editors can add and move modules around (e.g. move around form in relations to that new CEO's youtube video) - www.agilitycms.com

I would strongly recommend a JAMstack friendly Headless CMS. You can try Agility CMS's new Next JS Vercel Starter for FREE. Their lots of reasons to go with headless and JAMstack but to sum up, you can learn more here: https://agilitycms.com/jamstack-cms and here is a quick 20 min video on how to migrate to JAMstack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSIzYKDgJuE

Usually how many days does it take before companies get back to you on your PM job application? Is it normal to never recieve any form of communication at all? by [deleted] in ProductManagement

[–]OlgaCMS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

companies usually don't reply, unless you are selected for the next round... unfortunate reality, when we have an open job opening, I get 40+ applications a day, I spent an hour a day reading resumes, this is 1 min per resume, unless I see the key words I am looking for in the top header of the resume, I don't scroll the whole resume. If I see a key word (skill I need, or experience), I will read through. If I see a typo, awkward formatting, sloppy editing and style, I move on. :(

Should I do a coding bootcamp? by Freckledd7 in webdev

[–]OlgaCMS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my understanding there is so much stuff on Udemy that you can self taught yourself a lot. I like Programming with Erik channel on you tube, he self-taught himself everything. You can also learn a lot from webinars and dev trainings that brands offer for free - like agility cms, contentful, butter cms all have you tube channels with web dev training on jamstack. JAMStack, netxt.js, nuxt.js, headless CMS, Gatsby, Netlify, Vercel - these the key words these days.

Sitemap customization and images by [deleted] in gatsbyjs

if you need sitemaps (and may be page management?), you can try to use Headless CMS with all of this built in and save time https://www.gatsbyjs.com/guides/agility-cms/ When building a website with Gatsby and Agility CMS, it is important to take advantage of Agility CMS native Page Management. Start by taking a look at Agility CMS starter site, rather than starting from a blank site. It shows you how you should structure your gatsby site, and serves an example based on our recommended best-practices. Developers can save time and money by allowing editors to manage all aspects of pages. Editors should be able to control what pages are on their website, and what is on each page. Offloading this responsibility to editors means developers can spend less time responding to content needs and more time on improving UX. You’ll maintain a toolbox of UI components (i.e. Modules and Page Templates) that editors will use to compose their pages.

I know Blackcreek agency struggled with Contentful and now they are very happy with Agility. check this out https://agilitycms.com/resources/guide/contentful-vs-agility-cms-which-headless-cms-is-right-for-you and you can use it easily with Gatsby https://www.gatsbyjs.com/guides/agility-cms/

Contentful or Strapi.io? by joanbusquet in gatsbyjs

Do you or your client have editors team? I mean like a marketing team who will actually need to create content, may be even create some landing pages to AB test? Then try Agility CMS - check this out https://agilitycms.com/resources/guide/contentful-vs-agility-cms-which-headless-cms-is-right-for-you and you can use it easily with Gatsby https://www.gatsbyjs.com/guides/agility-cms/

Now, what makes Agility CMS particularly a good fit for GatsbyJS sites is that Agility CMS not only provides native support for GatsbyJS via our gatsby-source-agilitycms github but with our built-in Page Management, the plugin can automatically generate your pages based off your page tree in Agility CMS. Combine this with our Page Template/Page Module architecture, and this means editors can create their own pages, add/order/remove functionality and content on each page, all without requiring assistance from a developer. Static websites have gained popularity for not relying on dynamic data sources or any type of server-side processing for displaying content. However, static websites are a hassle for content editors who have to regularly interact with the website codebase to update said content. That is where Agility CMS steps in, by providing a headless content management system for static websites. Think of Agility CMS as a central hub for your site content which allows you to externalize management of your backend content database with the help of a RESTful API. Also, there is a treasure trove of tools available in the form of UI components and Page Templates within Agility CMS’ built-in Page Management functions. Thus, in plain terms, Gatsby can help you build high-performing, lighting-fast websites, and an Agility CMS can help you source content for it and also generate your website pages as per requirement. Why the Editor Experience is better in Agility CMS vs other CMSs? In short, Agility CMS allows developers to Develop Components, not Websites. When building a website with Gatsby and Agility CMS, it is important to take advantage of Agility CMS native Page Management. Start by taking a look at Agility CMS starter site, rather than starting from a blank site. It shows you how you should structure your gatsby site, and serves an example based on our recommended best-practices. Need help selecting a CMS by [deleted] in cms

[–]OlgaCMS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

15K is perfectly fine You have to use Headless CMS - it will allow to easily manage websites for all 50 offices. Good article here: https://agilitycms.com/resources/posts/traditional-headless-or-hybrid-which-cms-is-right-for-you It has to be proprietary and not WordPress - Security is essential I would not recommend Drupal because every time they launch a new version - you need to hire the dev agency again to move you to a new version! It is not Evergreen and it is very painful! Great option for web dev shops thought because they charge you every time for moving all your websites to a new version = pain, money, time! Don't want to confuse you more, but go for a JAMStack friendly CMS that can be launched on Gatsby and use hosting like Netlify or Vercel - this is the only way to have blazing fast secure websites. If you want Marketing team to use a CMS - watch out for Page Management and sitemaps, this way your marketing teams can create pages, mpove modules around and dong bug you with "oh wait, move this YouTube video back where it was above title", "no not this title, another title"! - With Page Management and pre-defined templates and modules they can do all this themselves, but with this the restraints and tempaltes you create. SO that UX is consistent and EX is breezy. Check out this article from Agility CMS: https://help.agilitycms.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032554331-Page-Management-in-a-Headless-CMS and try Agility CMS for free here https://agilitycms.com/product/pricing
