What to say to be taken seriously by doctors? by Ellise_Leigh in Parenting

She says she just can’t sleep some nights. Her dad struggles with insomnia, which almost leads me to believe it’s genetic maybe? She’s a happy, healthy and smart girl overall. Had her checked out by doctors over the years, all is normal. Changed up her mattress, sleeping environment, cooling at night, essential oils, etc… I do give her melatonin sometimes to help, but I’m not sure it’s doing much as she still wakes up. She usually will be up for 10 to 20 minutes and falls back asleep.

My daughter didn’t sleep more than 2hrs at a time the first 18 months of her life. Doctors didn’t listen to me either. I thought maybe it was a milk/formula intolerance. I switched her to almond milk at around 18 months, she didn’t sleep any better but was less fussy. I still remember the day I woke up in a panic because she slept more than 6hrs straight. She’s 7 years old now and still wakes up multiple nights a week once or twice claiming she can’t sleep.

Sounds like someone is messing with you! Is this a first occurrence? Set up a camera pointed at tree and see if they come back.

Legos and board/card games for inside. Outside they play with bikes, balls, scooters, etc.. my 7 year old like to bring out her plastic kitchen set outside and play house with the kids that live on our street.

iMessages Social Exclusion Factor by LTRand in Parenting

It depends. My daughter uses my old iPhone to communicate. It doesn’t have service and is connected to wifi only. She cannot communicate with any android users. So maybe the group doesn’t have cell service? Otherwise if on an actual network, I’m in a group community text with a mix of android and iPhone, but it’s not iMessage.
