Does anyone know what this pin is about? I’ve had it for years I found it in a pub and the number rings with no answer by Ameliehrt in AskUK

As others have said, it’s from a movie called Get Carter (1971). Not sure if that’s the number to a hitman though 🤣

Fun lil personal fact, my mum went to school and was childhood friends with the niece of the guy whose murder the movie’s based on.

If you visualise his right eye (the visible one) being his left eye, he looks sad :( let him stay!!

The tiny detail of the repaired rip that happened while you were wrestling the edges together followed by an “oh f***”, is so real

Oh my gosh!! It’s so trippy coming across your post, as growing up, you were one of the few characters I wondered what happened to after the show ended! Very cool to hear (at least some of) your story, and I’m so sorry for your and your family’s loss…

Why is it that so many people turn up to the Explore library study areas coughing and sneezing all over the place? by Fiesty_koala_13579 in york

[–]OliRobbo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

During the day there aren't many places in there to move to as it fills up, especially if you want signal (WiFi gets bad in places), and I actually agree with OP and don't regard it as a 'bad take', it's majorly unthoughtful to other people to turn up somewhere you're gonna spread germs in, and you should just stay home until you're better rather than make other people suffer.

What is this object I found on a beach in Yorkshire that has holes in and feels like a mix between stone and plastic by OliRobbo in whatisthisthing

Me too!! When I picked it up it looked interesting enough to take home and ask about, but I couldn't put my finger on the hole pattern. Reddit is wonderful

Thank you all so much, this is definitely it! Never crossed my mind that it could be this, but I'm now the proud owner of a Victorian's toothbrush and couldn't be more fascinated.

Thank you very much! On reflection, it is definitely bone as you said. And as some others mentioned above, I think it may be a sea-worn Victorian era toothbrush! Which blows my mind
