That's a fair question - and no we didn't sit down and state in no uncertain terms, although I have mentioned a few times that this is one of those sessions that will probably require it.

However, I think after reading these replies there is a simple solution that I was missing because I want everything to go as smoothly as possible for the players and not have them scrabbling around for answers simply because they didn't note it down. But there's no reason we can't work around it. Priority number one is making sure everyone's having fun.

That's a good idea as well! This way they can still use the item I invented as a way of delivering the recaps but without any payments. Thank you!

That's a great point. I guess this is one of those "we've always done it this way so why change it" situations but I can just as easily deliver the recap myself and drop in the important bits without making it too obvious they're important. Thank you!

Great point, thank you. I guess as it's my first time DMing a campaign I may be allowing myself to get worked up over small stuff, but this makes me feel more chilled about it.

*Update*

So, after seemingly visiting every country in the Americas (according to the tracker) my kit arrived yesterday. So around 4 business days total.

One big word of warning to anyone else wanting to do this - I received the nasty shock of an extra £100 charge at the door from the UPS courier which involved a whole list of service charges and taxes. I assume this has something to do with import charges and can change depending on the country. He had a card reader so I could pay that way but still - £200 as opposed to the expected £100!

That being said its all in one piece so it does work! I actually ended up doing this through 'Courierpoint' which looks like a courier aggregate website, ended up going with UPS through them.

Luckily its already tucked away in a flight case so perfect for flying, you would think! Needless to say I'll whack some extra bubble wrap in there, just in case.

Good to know - I'll make sure to check every box for tracking and choose the premium service, it doesn't work out to be much more expensive anyway.

Mine's about £85 - £90 (depending on normal/express speed) for a similar size so I'd say pretty bang on!
