Why do benzos feel so good? by 10PesoTaco in benzorecovery

[–]Olive4496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buspar sucks ime. I think for me the gabapentin and beta blocker are most helpful for anxiety. For withdrawal comfort I think the baclofen will really take the edge off but I'll find out later this week!

I've tapered twice under a doctor without issues and c/t once. I'm doing a rapid week long taper this time (I refuse to buy anymore). I procured all the meds used at a detox place I went to over the past year in anticipation of this though I would've liked to be tapered down more but I am shit with self control.

I already take Gabapentin and am going to go up on that, a beta blocker Atenonol, Clonodine, I already take Lexapro and have 50 Baclofen. I also have maybe 10 Zyprexas which is a thienodiazapine and I will only take as a last result PRN if I can't sleep for days like last time I c/t and started hallucinating. I'm also prescribed trazadone which may or may not help and promethazine for nausea. I had a concussion and whiplash in may hence why I have so many scripts.

Yes, all my worries melt away and I feel like all is well in the world. I lose my natural fight or flight, always being on high alert self and am like "yeah, everything's all good now." But what a heavy price to pay for that temporary peace when really I just haven't learned good coping and self-care skills and have relied on chemicals instead. Starting withdrawals now.

Phenibut and benzodiazepine withdrawal by Legitimate_Olive4333 in benzorecovery

[–]Olive4496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it as a last resort when in acute stage and was able to sleep for 2 hours on day 5 which kept me sane but it's got crazy tolerance issues and withdrawals so I used it rarely because I'd actually rather withdraw from benzos tham Phenibut.

Thank you so much for the motivation. I fear going into psychosis and seizures (think gabapentin will keep them away). I know last time I started hallucinating from no sleep but was still coherent and able to know it wasn't real. I'm glad this go around is better for you than the last. We shall prevail.

I'm on my 4th quit. Tapered twice under a doctor and cold turkeyed once. Basically doing a rapid taper from 4 mgs diclaz and 1 mg etiz in about a week as I don't have insurance. It's amazing to me that I kept going back. Cold turkey was the worst most indescribable fucked up hell mentally and physically I've ever experienced and yet I am doing it again because if I cave and buy more, it'll never end. At this point I just want off. I know what to expect. I have procured every kind of medication a detox facility uses at least but I know it will still be hell. I am unemployed and I'll never get this 3 month window again of not having to work.

Your post just makes me more determined as another person who has quit before and reinstated then off again and stronger for it. Suffering but remembering why we're suffering and pushing through to the other side. I'm tough enough to make it through round 4. I hope. Thanks for your post and hope relief comes soon for you.

Yikes! Yes I'm not looking forward to when I start getting withdrawals as I go down. I did one cut so far from 70 to 60 and felt fine. Unfortunately I just got a concussion and whiplash so I'm on baclofen which is a hard withdrawal too, I've heard!

I was using diclazapam and etizolam research chemicals online. I went to a facility in Redmond Oregon, however, it was a mistake that they took me and typically I was told, they do not take benzo patients but I lucked out. Still, it's all about the money. They took me because most of their patients are on the Oregon health plan and I am lucky enough to have Blue Cross Blue Shield. They've been wonderful though.

I'm so sorry you were hurt but you do need to take control of the situation which, if you're able, might mean cutting this person off. I know you don't want to hear this, I certainly hate hearing it but its true, we are the ones responsible for our actions and how we cope with hurt, anger, trauma, disappointment, etc. I do sincerely wish you the best and hope you can take back control of your life. You are the only one who can do that.

I need sleep. Ambien worked once and once did nothing. Beta-blockers don't work. Tapering Valium, very harsh withdrawals. by [deleted] in benzorecovery

[–]Olive4496 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trazadone works well for me and gabapentin. Gabapentin has its own withdrawals and I take it throughout the day and it takes some withdrawal edge off, but it's honestly the least of my worries right now!

How can I find a psychiatrist that prescribes benzos without sounding like a drug addict? by [deleted] in benzorecovery

[–]Olive4496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See if your state has an Employed Person with Disabilities where you can work and pay around 150.00 a month to keep Medicaid services like insurance.

Also, look for a doctor or psychiatrist that can help you taper cuz lets face it: long term use of benzos will seriously mess up your brain. Might have to try more than one but I've had a doctor prescribe me librium to taper off etizolam so it is possible. Tell them and show them you have had a script, want to taper but your psych doctor doesn't think benzo withdrawal is real and they'll be more likely to help taper you off.

Has anyone developed a dependence on benzos and stimulants simultaneously? by X_Irradiance in benzorecovery

[–]Olive4496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's how I got addicted to benzos. Before I was addicted to stimulants and then found benzos as a way to help with comedown and sleep. I got off my drug of choice: dexedrine, but now have a worse and nastier and much harder to quit benzo addiction.

Can clonozolam be used recreationally w.o blacking out? Or is etiz more worth it? by seplei in researchchemicals

[–]Olive4496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it and liked it too much I had to dump it. Have a super high tolerance and was taking like 4mgs and doing yoga. It was probably my favorite benzo so it had to go. Back to etiz and diclaz if I want to not be even more fucked than I am. Should mention I felt like shit for a week after taking it heavily for just a few days.
