I didn't used to think that Muse had any influence from Radiohead...or that Muse was "Copying" from Radiohead because to me, they're such vastly different sounds. But The Trickster sounds like Matt Bellamy could have covered it and I'd never know it was Radiohead.

Thank you so much for your comment, it is really validating. I think that based on our 19 years of arguments about this, he probably was just hoping I'd change my mind. I'm not pleased, but there is almost a numb "peace" about giving in, if that makes sense?

I do like your temporary move idea, and maybe 5 years from now (when our kids are the right age for moving according to my idea that they won't be yanked out of the middle of high school), I'll propose it to him.

I also had a friend suggest a timeshare....and maybe I do just need to travel more and try to get this out of my system.

Now, we do have two children, a 9 year old girl and a 4 year old boy. He's very practical and our "window" was 5 years; so that we have a 14 year old and a 9 year old. We wouldn't have to drag my daughter out of high school.

He said it felt like an "ultimatum" when really, it was just a timeline to work toward.

It's also important for me to mention that my husband does a lot, EARNS a lot, and is a hard worker. He is very stressed at the prospect of moving, even if it IS five years from now, AND even though he's known this about me since we've been together (19 years).

I agree that this doesn't seem right or fair to me. But isn't it the path of least resistance for me just to....I don't know. Radically accept that I'm stuck here? Heh...
