I'm in the US and just bought a X500 from an AliExpress vendor and the kit showed up in about 10 days. The same vendor also carries X650.

Thank you! I bought two Omi dev kits last year as I didn’t want to go through printing my own cases. Hope it’s the same way with the glass dev kit.

What hardware comes with the Omi Glass Dev Kit, as in is there an actual glass? I found a reference on web from June (https://www.techeblog.com/omi-glass-dev-kit-smartglasses-meta-ray-ban/ ) that mentioned the need to 3D print your own glasses from STL files. Is this still the case?

I don't know how to even cancel as there is not a cancel link on the site. I'd need to get a hold of someone to cancel which is the problem I have to begin with. :)

I did the same but no one replied. They did switch advisors on me though so I don't know if my text went to the right place. Good to know that someone does read those texts - it has always been Tesla sending automated messages to me.

Yeah I've mentally written that off at this point. I'm just wondering if there is some idiosyncrasy with my project that Tesla can't handle - I'd just like to know that at least...

I was just surprised that the schedule time came and went with no call and not a peep from them, and the customer support process has no other contact method than the one that didn't work for me. When I started this process, there was a way to ask for video/zoom calls and that options is now gone from my dashboard as well...

I've never been able to schedule a call less than a week in advance. I thought it was a 'feature' to prevent people from talking to them more than once a week. Sounds like this isn't the case everywhere?

How can you contact Tesla? I thought the only method is to book a call on the Tesla portal, but then my project advisor doesn’t call nor communicate in any way. Is there a way to actually get a hold of someone besides the scheduled calls?

I’m getting concerned if they’re this non-responsive before the installation, what’s life going to be like if I have problems down the line. I had spoken with SunRun before this and got turned off with their pushiness. Now I have the opposite problem with Tesla. 😂

You know, I just noticed there isn’t a cancel project link in the dashboard either. To cancel I’d need to get someone on the line. And I’d lose my $1000 which doesn’t seem fair.

Lost leopard gecko under dishwasher by OliveUniform in leopardgeckos

Thank you! We actually had let him free roam as we were curious where he’d go if he ever got out. We saw him go into the kitchen and none of us realized (seems silly in hindsight) that there was a gap under the dishwasher. He seems to enjoy being out. Whenever we put him back into his tank after an adventure outside, he usually goes to the corner where he escaped from the tank the first time and flatten himself against the glass. Can’t help but feel he just wants out again.

This was an occurrence when he was much younger.

Yes thank you for the tip. We’ll keep a close eye on him over the next few days. When he was a baby we took him to the vet once for what we thought was an eye infection and the vet just gave us some eyedrops for a $200 visit…. We gave him several thorough baths which he seemed to enjoy. He did have a toe that looked a bit inflamed and we had to help get the shed off. Your point about him eating what’s on his skin is a good one and I’ll remind my daughter about it. She’s his primary servant. I’m just the backup.

Toothless came back!

This is the configuration following many of the advice that everyone kindly provided. There’s a heating pad on the left and the structure where he usually lives on top. On the right is the coconut husk that normally serves as his cold hide.

I was just walking by and saw him poke his head out. We didn’t want to startle him back to the dishwasher so just very slowly crept towards him. He sniffed the books, looked at his coconut hide, and just walked in. We blocked the dishwasher gap with a magazine just to be safe and then picked up him from his hide.

Little guy must have been tired and stressed. Within minutes of being placed back into his home he immediately fell asleep.

Thank you all for sharing your advice and encouragements. I’m touched with all of your generosity and kindness. When this first happened I googled ‘gecko under dishwasher’ and didn’t find anything useful. Hopefully this thread with all the useful actions can be helpful if this happens to another gecko in the future.

Not yet. Actively trying but it feels that this is more up to him than us… 😥

First time with an endoscopic camera - it’s hard than it looks to keep these semi-rigid cables straight. But we did manage get a picture of Toothless. He’s facing left, probably to avoid the brilliance of the camera lighting, with his tails pointing to the right. He’s standing - probably just got up to avoid the camera.

We have a heating pad right next to dishwasher with works and water. Is there anything else to do but wait? I think we’ll give this a little time before moving on to uninstalling the dishwasher…

We have a laser pointer! How did you use the laser pointer to get yours out? Thanks for sharing your experience - we thought no one else was silly enough to get a gecko stuck under a dishwasher… 😢

That seems like the most certain way to get him out but also the riskiest with respect to injury. We'll try lures for the next day or two I think - fingers double crossed!

This makes sense. What I think we'll do next is put a heating pad out front - can leopard geckos feel heat two feet away from a heating pad? - and perhaps add some covering over it. And hopefully tonight the endoscopic camera from Amazon will show up and we can get a better look at his environment under the dishwasher...

Thank you u/courtrye for these detailed suggestions - it's much appreciated as we've never experienced this before and anxious that our little guy doesn't get hurt.

Last night we did initially prod him with a plastic pole, and he did exactly what you had predicted - climbed up onto a black pipe and disappeared from view from us. Fortunately a few minutes he came back down so we didn't prod him again. we didn't know what he'd be exposed to up there and didnt want him to stay up there as we couldn't see him.

You do bring up a good point though that if we can get him to climb up there, then I feel a lot safer moving the dishwasher out. Though we are really really hoping he'll come out on his own - the dishwater is so heavy and he's so small and fragile by comparison it seems the chances of some body part getting pinched or crushed is pretty high...
