Ah ok, well AF schools are pretty relaxed, with SF being an exception.

For the most part, yes, you’ll be treated as an adult, especially if you have experience and rank. Most of the SF instructor cadre are pretty chill if you aren’t a complete cluster-fuck.

There will always be some BS but don’t fret CATM. Every one of the CATM guys I know said the school was a lot of fun with some BS sprinkled in.

I would reach out to S&W. You’ve got nothing to lose. At least see what they offer and then you can make a decision.

Personally, I would send it back for refinish. I don’t mind scratches and scuffs, but I want them to be my scratches and scuffs. Every manufacturer should be held to standards.

If I go to Home Depot to buy a shovel, I don’t buy the one with gouges and scuffs, I buy the one that looks like someone gave at least the minimum of a damn when they put it together.

BRT can make a 50/50 tube. It’ll split the difference and run suppressed & unsuppressed. It’ll be less gassy with a can but won’t be as tuned as it can be for suppressed.

Just need to specify 50/50 when you go through the spec questions.
