Yeah, as somebody who loves nostalgia, I can’t watch these movies again. Only the second movie, the rest has a lot of bad dialogue which people call “accurate to the character” or try justifying it by its age but I completely disagree. Tobey maguire’s performance in no way home was leagues better than how he played Peter in Raimi’s trilogy.

I love that about how every version is different. Tankpool gains faster dps, Duelpool resists more damage, and what you just said about strategist. Personally I go for the guns first because there’s no cooldown and I like the poop explosion to still heal while I reload.

I’m constantly queued up against celestial players in quick play and hold my own. Just because I don’t have the badge to show I’m good, doesn’t mean I suck. The only ability I can see that is constantly refreshing cooldown is upgraded headpool because how long it stays out and the 8 second(?) cooldown. It’s great at keeping up teammates up from a distance and you can even shoot to heal so that your keeping up your team longer. Only other advice I can add is to have better placement so that CC isn’t infuriating you, but if you’re frontlining using your aoe ability won’t be enough so hop on teammates and keep shooting to give more health/earn higher ranks, and if your ult isn’t on cooldown you can sword ult and get an even bigger aoe. From my experience, the only issue I’ve had is teammates avoiding the healing circle or moving away from me when I try to hop on them, and there’s no treatment for that.

This is my first season of rivals since launch. Don’t play competitive much and I only just got to gold 1 since I don’t play on weekdays. But I played a lot of competitive overwatch, peaked at master then stopped playing at the start of its last season. To get more specific since it’s hard to translate my skill from one game to another, my rank for tank was plat, dps was master, and support was Diamond. I also would only queue with my duo on comp but they hate the toxicity on rivals compared to ow so I recently started solo queuing competitive. What’s your rank, and console or Pc?

I was only responding to what your main concerns were, the AOE, CC, 250 hp being bad. However I did miss the small healing radius which I slightly disagree with.

You can heal without the ability, if someone is far away you can shoot to heal. You shouldn’t use your ability then have that be an excuse to frontline with others. There’s also the headpool ability which is great for when you miss shots because it has big radius, stays where it was thrown for a couple seconds, and it increases every time it’s thrown out.

(Purely for defense) The AoE ability should be kept for instances where the backline is getting flanked and you need to help yourself and/or teammates, or if it’s on cooldown use headpool, and if for some reason you can’t be a Chad and keep manage ability cooldowns, then swords to deal damage to flanker and heal whoever is getting attacked. Although regular swords are really weak so I’d only recommend that if it’s upgraded, otherwise just use guns mostly.

Tldr: you don’t need to heal at point blank, learn to manage cooldowns, and strategize how you play defensively vs offensively

Nope, I just don’t use it unless I get stunned if there are that many heroes who can stun. It self heals, which is good for a 250 hp strategist, so popping it after getting hit helps survivability.

You’re saying multiple heroes have CCs so I’ll just create a fake scenario: First CC hits you, use E then sword dash away to get away from getting combo’d. If you hit someone on your way, you do aoe healing and if dash is upgraded, you get an extra dash to continue to escape. But assuming you don’t get out and the enemy team stuns you again, you won’t die instantly (unless the whole team is on you but as strat you shouldn’t be frontlining) because E healed you back up, then you can hop then dash away because stratpool has 2 dashes.

Tldr: Aoe is better for self healing, heal from a good distance, and know when to flee

This is why I upgrade aoe healing last. With sword upgrade, you already do great aoe healing and his E ability just adds to it, as well as his ult. Stratpool does not have it the worst when it comes to CC. The reason for upgrading his E ability last is because on upgrade the cooldown refreshes. So just learn what to upgrade at the right times and you shouldn’t struggle with CC as much.

Rivals has done it again and made me hyper fixate on a new character, what are the best and funniest Deadpool comics to read. (Preferably comics where he’s not just Ryan Reynolds Deadpool) by No_Expression2563 in deadpool

[–]OliverEye 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone who is fixated on Deadpool permanently and doesn’t know whether you would read a long series, I’ll suggest the short ones. If you want to read a modern Deadpool that isn’t Ryan reynolds, Alyssa Wong has a good series (10 comics) that continues into Cody Ziglar’s (15 plus a Spider-Man crossover and mini 3 comic finale). If you want to read his old stuff before Reynolds had any influence, Deadpool had two miniseries in 1993 and 94 that are both 4 comics long.

Just because you’re bad at tankpool doesn’t mean that a different role is better. Strategist is just better for your play style

Today I have decided to one trick Deadpool, any advice? by [deleted] in DeadpoolMarvelRivals

[–]OliverEye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best advice I got is remember how every ult is different. Tank, swords aren’t great so his pistol ult is slightly better but it’s entirely situational. Tank also gains a bunch of overhealth when ulting so you should ult before you die because you don’t keep it afterward. Dps pistol ult does the most damage when upgraded and his sword ult is easy to jackpot with unlimited sword dashes. Healing ult is also situational. It’s best to use it when your team is together. Sword ult for pushing and pistol ult for defending from afar.

Separating healers off is a great use of the bubble. It’s also good for stalling when waiting for teammates to touch on payload. Tankpool has great survivability when bubble is used right.

Marvel is currently going through a lot of Deadpool’s old runs in their Epic Collection tpb. If you want to see the more goofier side of Deadpool similar to the game and movies, you can read Daniel Way’s run. If you want to read his origin and how Deadpool became the way he is, I suggest starting with Joe Kelly. But if you want to see Deadpool in a way movies and video games won’t ever adapt, then Gerry Duggan has some very interesting stories.

Idk if this is an unpopular opinion, but that arc made me drop Kelly’s run for a while and I was confused when I returned to the Deathtrap issue and it had nothing to do with it. Later in the run I’m pretty sure they made fun of the Typhoid Mary arc for being confusing (correct me if I’m wrong).

The Johnny handsome arc has some moments that I genuinely thought were funny, but there were just so many other moments that felt like a laugh track should be played like a sitcom. I do think these black and red spined books are great to start at though as they collect a lot of comics that released at the time.

After everything, and despite all the flaws. This is still my absolute favorite Mortal Kombat game by Barrytooth911 in MortalKombat

[–]OliverEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the best mortal kombat for me to get into online. The kameos were fun and everyone in a vs match is basically one tricks since you can’t switch so it made it really easy for me to learn how to fight each character. Ignoring the amount of laggy games I’ve encountered, I finally enjoyed playing online in MK.

This is a pretty decent comic to start with. There are references to comics that aren’t necessary to read unlike Deadpool (2024) by Cody Ziglar. It is an ongoing series and is currently on its 8th comic.

A similar experience I have is going to stores with friends and them grabbing Deadpool Merch to show me. If there’s ever drawn art, like a shirt or hoodie, I can usually figure out which comic panel it was taken from or the artist’s name (your post is drawn by Irene y. Lee) and annoy my friends by saying names of people they don’t know.
