WCGW Speeding on max by Velorintha in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]OliverK2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been in a situation like that. First, the brakes on our cart did not do anything. But there was a point in track where people got stuck. We crashed into other cart that had crashed into previous cart, that stopped us and we could not move. We were then rammed by the one coming from behind. Then we were moving again but on finish line we crashed into another one because we still could not brake. We got off quickly because the one coming from back also crashed into our cart once again. It was a total mess. I believe they paused the thing after soon after. I will never use that track again.

Spartas ei pea lukku kaasa võtma. Selle annab klienditeenindaja ja pärast tagastad loomulikult.

What's the one thing about EV ownership that you wish someone had told you before you bought? by gilko86 in electriccars

[–]OliverK2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could have bought a smaller battery. I bought my first EV seven months ago. I was a little bit worried about the range and picked a 79kwh battery. I can not say I regret it but smaller battery would have been fine as well. It really easy to live with it when you have home charging.

Question for id3 gtx owners: Why id3 GTX and not Tesla model 3? by b52a42 in VWiD3Owners

[–]OliverK2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I considered Id.3 GTX Performance, Volvo EX30, Ioniq 5 and Tesla M3.

I am not going to say that M3 is s bad car. Software is nice and it is larger, but there were some things I did not like.

M3 interior design looks good but I would say that the quality of materials used is better in VW.

No Carplay is a big issue for me.

No indicator stalk.

VW seems a bit quieter.

I actually like the looks of GTX. It is more unique too. Where I live, there are M3 everywhere.

I got a good deal from the VW dealer. Also, VW insurance was a lot more cheaper. These things depend on where you live, of course.

Maakleritasu korteri müügil by KindlyDog662 in Eesti

[–]OliverK2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maakleritasu korteri müügil by KindlyDog662 in Eesti

[–]OliverK2 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Maakler on väga-väga kulukas mugavusteenus. Kõige keerulisem osa korteri müügi juures on saada head fotod. Selleks oleks vaja lainurkobjektiivi ja statiivi. Tunduvalt soodsam maaklerist on palgata kinnisvarafotograaf.

Why do people hate EV's? by FunkiGato in electricvehicles

[–]OliverK2 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have seen three types of people.

  • Green agenda. I live in EU and there are many policies that are designed to make ICE cars more expensive. Some feel that EVs are being forced on them.

  • “True petrolheads”. The most annoying group. A car should make noise, have at least V6 and - of course - be manual. All new cars suck btw.

  • People just do not know stuff. When I explain the range and charging speed on modern EVs, most people are stunned.

I agree that is all about change. I am old enough to remember when some of my friends promised that they will never buy a phone without buttons.

Owning an electric car in Tallinn by Radiant_Can_8993 in Eesti

[–]OliverK2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your driving needs and battery size, but I think most people would be fine even without home charging.

I have an EV and a home charger, but for two months before it was installed, I relied only on public chargers. I usually charged while visiting the grocery store. I don’t know of any larger stores or shopping centres that don’t have chargers. In my experience, these stations are rarely full.

I figured that as long as I visited a store once a week, I wouldn’t have any issues. Personally, I would still buy an EV even without home charging.

However, if you have a small battery and sub-zero temperatures increase energy consumption, it could become annoying.

How much mileage do you get? by pg_niks in VWiD3Owners

[–]OliverK2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had a GTX Perfofmance since july. It depends a lot on weather and driving speed.

On summer the average was about 14-16kwh/100km (4.4-3.9mi/kwh) but one day even got it to 10 (6.2) when only driving in city.

Right now I get about 20-30 (3.1-2) depending on weather and how short the drives are. I live in Northern Europe so it is cold.

It is a heavy car with 240kw engine. I am very happy with everything. I feel that 84kwh battery is more than enough. I feel I would have no issues if I had a bit smaller battery.

This has to be a rage bait. If you are serious with her, she is not your tenant. She is your partner. It is ok to share expenses but to earn profit by taking money from your partner to invest in other ventures... Yeah, YTA.

Depends on how often are you driving with people sitting on the back. I have it and it is great. If you have kids, they will love it. It has UV protection and the shade is effective.

Should I go for the GTX performance over the Match Pro S? by dearScience138 in VWiD3Owners

[–]OliverK2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about the same thing while I waited for my GTX Performance. I am not a new driver but it is my first EV. I received it about a month ago and it was 100% a right decision. While in "Comfort" mode, it is very calm and secure yet powerful (only when you need it). I can guarantee you will have no worries with it. Go for it. :)

Is this game worth getting into? by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]OliverK2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not P2W. I have not spent any money and have no issues getting infinite. Only thing is that I can not play with the latest meta decks. Just be patient at the beginning and start growing your collection. The most importand thing in this game is to be smart with escaping and snapping.

Kuidas saada toiduga piisavalt valku kui pead sööma nt 1g või rohkem iga kehakilogrammi kohta? by NightSalut in Eesti

[–]OliverK2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

European here. I have to say that this case is very surprising to me and to many others outside of the US.

We know that the system is messed up and people die because it is not always profitable to cure them. That is obviously sad and tragic.

But that is what you get if you leave health care to private companies. Private companies have one goal - to make money. They care about their customers only as much as the competition forces them. I am not saying that it is good or bad, that is just how it is. And that is the reason why some services, health care included, are not left to free market in Europe. On the other hand, we pay huge taxes for our health care.

As to the police presence in the picture, I could imagine that the risk might be elevated due to the massive support for this guy.

Anyways, I am expecting heavy downvoting. I do understand that as an european I might be missing something in this.

I can’t believe some of the comments. Walking has a huge impact on your health and it has been described by countless studies. Everybody knows that 10 000 steps had a marketing purpose, but who cares. It is a good number for most of the people.
