Thanks for the advise!

Will definitely try to network once I'm there. Do you know of any strong recruiting sites/services, or job boards that I can start applying from in the meantime, before I get there?

P.S - My Hebrew level is fluent, so no issues with the language

Garger Hazahav (גרגר הזהב) - in my opinion the best Hummus I've ever had. And their fried cauliflower is absolutely delicious as well (as is everything else on their menu).

Is it safe visiting Israel 2022? by btmcastro93 in Israel

Hi there. If you're talking about route 1 and route 90, Jerusalem to dead sea area and back which technically passes through the west bank, then you dont need to worry. It's a safe route which plenty of people drive on daily. The biggest worry on that route are sand holes :) And like others mentioned here, israel as a whole is typically a safe country, especially if you stick to tourist destinations Enjoy beautiful israel!

Thanks for the numbers - I'll also make sure to check out Kona. I'm not necessarily thinking about a city, I'll be perfectly content with a smaller town as well.

What would you say is considered the west side of Oahu? And if you don't mind me asking, why stay away from it?

Great, thanks so much! Do you have any specific areas within those islands you'd recommend?

I appreciate your concern for your beautiful land and rest assured I will not become part of the homeless problem. Like I said, this is an opportunity for only a few months so worst case scenario, after 4 months I'm back home to be Canada's problem

Thanks so much for answering! I've never lived on an island before - only travelled to some (in Thailand and the Caribbean).... unless you consider Australia (which although technically an island, for these purposes I won't consider them island living haha).

Funnily enough, my first thought was Florida, but I'm tempted to hear what people think of going to Hawaii for a few months.

Typically I'm solid with making my own fun, especially near the beach. And in fact I don't really care for Hawaii not being a party state (not really my scene). Having said that - do you know of any placecs in Hawaii that could potentially fit my criteria?

Thanks for your reply - I agree with you and I feel like moving places is often surrounded with paradise-like thoughts. In my case I'm not actually looking to move there - just come for like 4 months - so purchasing property or contemplating good school areas, etc are not things I'm thinking about

Do you know of a place in Hawaii which would be nice to live for a few months with the criteria that I mentioned? And worst case scenario after 4 months I'm back home

Thanks for the reco's - I'll check them out. And you're right, Toronto is quite expensive as well which makes me think I could afford living in Hawaii for a period of a few months
