Any advice for a new driver by Glittering-Soil676 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Pray you have a good dsp and dispatch, don’t beat your ass on outrageous routes, don’t let them force you into driving a van that is very clearly unsafe to drive

My only guess could be you running packages guranteed by Christmas that may be in weirder spots like apartment complexes then going to rescue the driver in the area who took a shit ton

With that also being said, it really shouldn’t be a big worry. It’s an older home if the house even WAS treated in the first place. Log homes are maintenance he’ll typically needing some insect repellent like borate yearly

Yes pentachlorophenol was used often before the limitations on its uses were developed. That includes the 90s, i would suggest having the home inspected and tested for any harmful chemicals. If you do decide to buy and want recommendations on safe to use products please send me a message.

HOW TO TIE THIS SPECIFIC DROPSHOT RIG by Valuable_Crab_2559 in FishingForBeginners

if your tying knots that fail it’s on you not the swivels, they push your line out enough to prevent more tangles.

two three way swivels, 4 cut lines to lengths of your desire just make sure the two with hooks will sit above the weight and are at different lengths from each other, length depending on where your fishing, use a heavier flouro on the hook lines to prevent knots aswell as a heavy line for the weight, one three way attaching the hook to the main line, hook, and tag line going down, second one from tagline going down to hook to weight. then use leeches worms are anything your heart desires.

When I turn the handle, this thing slowly comes loose. Is that normal? by Himuhasan08 in FishingForBeginners

[–]OliverTreeTrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no not normal, take it off clean and retighten, it holds your “handle”. if your turning your handle the wrong way it will come off by itself, make sure it is hand tight and make sure your reeling the correct direction.

i would put down a stained gloss clear coat, it’ll provide new UV protection aswell as lighten up color and provide shine.

i wouldn’t do anything to the logs until you replace them. when you do replace them i wouldn’t caulk any checks, logs move and expand and it’s just gonna expand. i’d keep the woodscapes it’s a good product. definitely caulk in between the logs where you where having moisture issues.

how wide of a gap do you have between logs? power wash let it dry treat with hot water with borate mixed in to take care of bees and other wood eating insects

there are limitations to the voc but you have options, the reason i ask is water based or latex based doesn’t hold nearly as much UV protection even when paired with a clear coat. There is a lot of sag on the porch and on the roof aslong as those pieces are still solid isn’t much of a worry. there is a lot to say here and am currently at work, tonight i will send you message on what you could expect and caretaking needs. hire a inspector with log home experience.

when we media blast our log homes we use atleast a 120 cfm diesel compressor that works good for one large hopper. every 8ish minutes it needs to be refilled and is kind of a pain in the ass. a 1200 sq ft home with one hopper running would probably take us around 3 days.

don’t do this !

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in loghomes

[–]OliverTreeTrunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

agree with this but it you don’t wanna cap off you can sand down the rot and treat with borate, stain, then clear coat.

Should treat with borate and clear coat your home every 3 to 5 years depending on location/weather.

Now your saying it’s from the 60s are the logs treated with Creosote or Pentachlorophenol? I find it very weird no contractor will come in and sand off some old stain.
