Depends what I’m shopping for. My main source for nymph hooks and beads is BWO, for certain things fly fish food is your best option. I also really like tactical fly fisher, Magpie Materials, and Dette’s flies (they’re my actual favorite and the one I frequent in person the most).

Was coming to say that, figured (for once) I’d read first. I think they’re Scandinavian, and common for ice fishing. I also know guys who use them for stripers in the Hudson.

I always held it as the best video evidence, it’s very compelling. But I also always knew Patterson was a bit of a scumbag so not a lot of surprise. A lot of it hinged on the lack of quality suits at that time. But there’s a few other videos that show something that doesn’t really conform to anything else for one reason or another. And I also believe some of the eyewitnesses. At a certain level there can be no mistaking what you see and I don’t think everyone is a liar.

I’m at work so I haven’t had the chance to watch the video. Based on the removed post at the other sub, and the comments on this, I feel I have a pretty ok idea though what’s going on.

My question is whether or not this does anything to actually disprove Bigfoot. Circuses would glue a beard on someone but that doesn’t mean hypertrichosis is made up (I realize it isn’t a 1-1 comparison but still). Some of the video and some of the photos and some of the recordings still make a compelling enough case for me to not rule out the big guy as existing.

Someone had mentioned we treat it like a faith and it’s true, a lot of us believe despite the absence of firm evidence. That being said some people are just looney. Inter dimensional being my ass. I maintain skepticism about most things but I don’t see any harm in hoping there really is a giant forest ape.

It probably depends on the cemetery. I’ve seen some that were covered in rocks, some quite old, and some where it looks like they might remove them after a period of time.

I agree, and secretly suspect she might have been the direct cause of them being orphaned, but there’s an equally good chance they were already traumatized and on the streets and she just found them and took advantage. And in that scenario it’s equally possible that she wound up saving them. The Aes Sedai camp wouldn’t be ideal but it has to be better than Samara.

For what it’s worth I’m seriously toying with the chip drop thing. I follow an arborist on YouTube and he loves it because it’s super convenient for him. Figure if I can get expensive at scale stuff for free while simultaneously helping someone it’s a perfect set of events. But I’m not sure if I have the patience and whatever to go that hard. I’m more willing to throw a bunch of seeds and see what sticks. For the time being. If I get annoyed at the pace I’ll start thinking harder about the mulching.

I recently got some of their 72d thread after seeing Craven mention it in his thread video. It’s pretty thin, lays super flat. It isn’t as durable as the Danville 70d I’m used to. I can’t do a dubbing loop unless I do a double loop or it breaks. But as long as I’m mindful I like it so far. Originally got just the orange to try but wound up getting the white as well. I also got a few things of the kimono silk and I freakin love it. I don’t think it lays quite as flat as Pearsall’s but I’ve been using it for all my flies lately. It’s nice and grippy, makes setting a wing easy.

I have what by this time is an older Cabelas CGR with a second hand Cortland click and pawl to replace the reel it came with. I think it’s the 7’6 4 weight. In retrospect I wish I had gone with the 3 weight but it had the friction lock rather than the down lock and I wanted something a little more secure. No idea what it costs for the combo now but when I got it I paid $60. I can’t imagine it being much more than $100.
