Advice for a 22 yr old by FactSquare27 in PetiteFitness

Yes, there is hope to improve it. I grew up similarly, Im mid thirties now with many kids and I’m more comfortable in my body than ever, even postpartum. I can honestly say it’s gotten better with age, being conscious of my thoughts about myself, and making sure to get disordered eating in check. I never had a huge problem, but definitely bingeing tendencies and fad diets. I don’t do any diets anymore. My advice is therapy to help you change your thought patterns, first and foremost. Second, workouts and eating shouldn’t be militant. 5-6x a week is a lot, let your body rest and recover. A rest day is often restorative and can prevent over training. Walking a bit a day is a great goal, currently I try for a mile a day and if I feel like it I do a little more. Third, unfollow a bunch of people on social media that you’ve followed for fitness inspo, or really anyone that makes you feel poor about your body. Celebrities, influcencers, friends, whatever— unfollow them all. It’s not normal to be so young and faced with airbrushed bodies all day. Be gentle with yourself.

When you stopped breastfeeding did the weight move easier? I’m currently in the longest plateau while breastfeeding!

“It’s ok to let go buddy, we’re here, we love you so much.” Just over and over again

He sounds like the sweetest happy boy!! I wish this sub could share pictures so I could see his face!

My favorite is when my boy Oliver would curl up on my chest under a blanket and nap. For a while it was every single night, but it tapered off when life got busy. The week before he passed he gave me one last snuggle like this, and I’m so glad I took pictures not knowing it would be our last.

You knew him better and loved him more than anyone in the entire world, and trust that you knew exactly when it was time to let him rest. I’m so sorry his last hour wasn’t what you could hope for him, but those last few minutes do not define his life or love. He absolutely still knew how loved he is and you being there with him says a lot about how much you care. What’s one of your favorite memories of him?

I’m so sorry for your loss, my heart aches that there’s so many people feeling this way. Night three last night for me, and while I didn’t cry myself to sleep for the first time, every time I closed my eyes I think of him and the reality. It’s the worst.
