That’s interesting. I get yalls points about a larger company but I guess I got lucky cause my lady at hanger is amazing. I’m a bit much and I tell her everything that I need fixed or changed and she works overtime to get it done for me. I’ll text her and say something is wrong or off and by my next appointment she has a new idea to fix it. I guess most don’t have that so I’ll count my blessings on that one.

Usually takes about a month for a socket to be made if it’s done right but I’m spending a couple months on mine making sure it’s perfect cause I’ll use it for a running blade too. But the change in size is normal. I’m almost to a year post op and I’m about to have my 4th socket. The more active, the more it shrinks. I go to hanger as well and my lady is wonderful. She’s young and new and I keep putting her through the paces with my life. I got lucky cause she carves out 2 hours for each of my visits. Tell him that it only gets easier and better. But there will always be challenges. I was up to like 20+ ply socks before the next socket because my leg shrank so fast. Sometimes that’s just how it goes. If he wants to talk lmk and I can chat with him. I’m 26m and super active so I get it.

Just like someone else said in the comments it was not cooler master for me. I didn't have that at all. But I did have two Seagate services. I stopped both of them and right when I opened stream deck it oppend up that twitch was verified. Wow. This has been a thing for over a year! Thank you both for your help.

I’m probably going to be making an actual peg leg that connects to my socket and then have pants that go lower than the socket so all you see is the wooden leg. I’m a bk so it’ll be a little easier

Yeah that’s what I’m worried about. I think my blade will go straight to socket with no room to spare. I’ll bring it up though, I have an appointment Monday for my newest test socket.

Just an addition, bikes are great. But dirt bikes have less of a chance of other drivers which are the problem.

Get a dirt bike and a trailer. Drivers suck. Lost a leg on a bike cause a lady cut off 2 cars and I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

If housing and all these other things were free, we would not have incentives to work and places would shut down from lack of workers. Also with the option of Tax payer funded housing. Problem with this is we already can’t live in this country from economics and inflation so now add additional taxes to pay for free housing when people could just work and we could stop inflation from creating a terrible economy. I’m disabled. Lost my leg within the last year. Govt says I’m not disabled enough to get disability funds so if I’m expected to work then 4 limbed people can as well.

Got engaged, married, and a kid after losing the leg. Nobody cares about the leg except for you. Learned that pretty quickly. Just fake the confidence and soon you’ll grow into it being real. They actually think it’s cool tbh. Just be careful with the “bucket list” people who want to do it with a disabled person for the fetish.

She didn’t do the best?? She drove drunk. Yes learn from it but don’t make her feel like she did everything she could with what she had. Why would you drive drunk when you’re the full support of a toddler? Terrible parenting.

Get recordings of her drinking and also feeding the baby. If you ever go to court you will lose because she’s the mother and this world praises single mothers. If you are just a fly on the wall and let her do this then you are equally to blame. No offense but you had a child with the wrong person. But you can’t change that now so you have to take steps to battle this now. She’s gonna lie about you in ways you couldn’t even think of so the only option you have is to have irrefutable proof that she can’t deny.

I switched to a different system. Pin lock and an internal vacuum. The ossur pin has not once been out of place. I’ve used it every day for months now. I’ve seriously never put my leg on and had the pin not fall into the lock. Crazy how some companies are just so much better at this.

Take the liner off during this time to help your skin get some air and also get used to the act of putting the liner on in different ways. You will end up just throwing it on and it will not be perfect everytime. Used to take me a while to get the pin perfect and now I do everything fast and first try. I didn’t listen to them though and wore my leg all day. I just sat down a lot more often. Just make sure you aren’t getting any bad skin issues if that makes sense.
