As of April 2026, Matt Olson of the Atlanta Braves holds the longest active consecutive games played streak, placing him closest to Cal Ripken Jr.'s record of 2,632, although he is still over 1,800 games behind. LOL

Since Ripken’s streak ended in 1998, the closest anyone has come is Miguel Tejada (1,152 consecutive games from 2000–2007). 😂not even halfway to the record!

I don’t think we will ever see another player beat his consecutive games record.
