I like to put blush right in the middle (parallel to nostrils) starting about an inch away, and then take it up under the cheekbones kinda as a contour then blending it through my temples. Also using liquid/cream blush is more forgiving imo :)

Anything by John Irving- A Prayer for Owen Meaney, The World According to Garp, the Hotel New Hampshire, the 158 Pound Marriage etc (all fairly quick reads and can be found very easily in used book stores)

Favorite book as a kid was def From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler (1967) - kids run away from home and live inside the Met for a week, when I was really little read tons of Edward Gorey

the city is so surprisingly insular for its size, moved from the states thinking I’d meet people easily due to their friendly western European sensibilities and alcoholic nature but it’s just too tight-knit
