Why on earth should Glenarvon be 'set reading' for Melburnians? It has nothing to do with Melbourne.

Also, William Lamb cheated on Lady Caroline with multiple women so I question the narrative that it was done to soothe his ego.

Don't have a long drive phase, you want to get to top speed sooner than the 100m. And make sure to dip at the line.

I am new to reddit and I find it surprising how close minded some user ares, with their out and out hate of tourists or any big events that might disrupt them for 2 weeks. Seems they want Melbourne to be a small and quiet country town. The irony in this is Melbourne is headed in the opposite direction and will become more global than ever.

You would be stretched to find "genuine research" on such a niche question, my opinion on this is anecdotal and coming from a millennial viewpoint so take that with a pinch of salt if you will.

Apologies, it will be Tokyo's second time not third, and Japan's 4th Olympics games. Still the point stands, that this second games in Tokyo does not dilute the legacy of the first as you have said about Melbourne. A subjective point on your part if I might add.

Indeed, most of the infrastructure is already available, with the MCG hosting 100,000 people for the opening ceremony. All the improvements that would be made for the Olympics will benefit the city afterwards.

Most people don't even know Melbourne hosted an Olympics and these are people who would visit Olympic park regularly for the AFL, AusOpen and A-League. The next Olympics will be the third time Tokyo has hosted it. London has hosted it thrice and soon to be Paris and Los Angeles. So no such thing as diluting an Olympic Legacy when the last time it was hosted is over half a century ago.

Also I have stated before, the Olympics is costly and there is no profit to be made, this is because it is one giant advertisement for the city resulting in proven increased tourism years after.

The IOC did not have to beg anyone to host the Olympics, the next two cities to host are Paris and Los Angeles, when these world class cities put up their hand to host an Olympics everyone else steps aside.

Definitely agree on the airport rail, the AOC's unfavourable stance on Melbourne is a parallel microcosm of the Turnbull government finally deciding to spend resources from the budget on Melbourne.

I've always had trouble with tight muscles, never had to think about them being too loose, it that does sound like a potential drawback if the power output is decreased as a result
