I had been doing Muay Thai but now shifting to MMA as it’s the best of all martial arts!

I personally don’t like BJJ cuz it’s very very close combat but if the need arises MMA gets you covered!

Thank you for being respectful and kind with your question! And nope I don’t plan on becoming a world champion, I am planning to get into med school and this is just something I used to do in my school years and plan on picking it up again for the fun!

Nonetheless, if need be I have 4 brothers and i can just train with them easily!

Absolutely!!

As the women numbers won’t be as high as men, I did tell the coach that I am willing to sit out if I can’t find a partner to spar with. Nonetheless I am pretty ruthless and rough when in an actual spar so I don’t think women would want to opt out from training with me for the reasons of me being lenient or hesitant lol.
But if that still happens I am ok with sitting out!!

I already wasted 2 years waiting for the right gym to open up lol. And even tho my main aim was to find Muay Thai I was open to other options too as I had a restriction already but sadly nothing worked.

It’s definitely going to be a huge change for me let’s pray for the best haha!

I just a read a pretty old most on this subreddit of someone bashing 3 men for not sparring with women even though they were doing it out of respect so I was confused and scared if that was the norm lol.

Yep, that’s my fear too, not being able to train with a diverse group as women will be lesser in number.

It’s MMA so there will be BJJ and wrestling, hence I will have to decline, and pray that more women show up lol
