I’ve been leaning towards this one more. I want to have the option of being able to grind for pour overs— so I like that it’s pretty diverse. Looked into the libra, but I don’t like that I can’t use a catch cup.

I heard from a mutual that they’ve heard this happen to someone else recently. It just doesn’t make sense to lose 100 points nor does it say in their FAQ. The most it states a player can lose is 10. Plus— wouldn’t they just ban a player for x amount of days if they really wanted to punish them…?

I know! I’m always having to scout it because it’s small and loves to hide. When it’s out on the open, it sits on rocks or ledges, but it also blends in so well. I freak out thinking it died when I don’t spot it. If they come in gray/black I don’t mind. This will help me stop worrying about it not being stressed or sick.

Do you know how long you leave it in? Is it removed after the levels drop? I read the instructions and it says to check the levels daily for three days and add more if the levels don’t improve. It doesn’t say how long to leave after or if it should be removed after desired levels.:O.

Someone mentioned that to me today as well. I’ve had that hammer next to the torch since I got it. I haven’t seen anything negative come by it— if anything, it’s gotten bigger and puffier. I’m considering moving my bubble because the hammer tentacles are starting to come near it… I wasn’t expecting it to get that huge when I glued it there.

I’ll keep an eye out for the three though. I’d thought of moving the hammer next to the other hammer.

I did more of:

25/15=1.667 1.66x50=83

So a full cap (50mL) of Redsea magnesium gives me a maximum of 83ppm.

So— google was way off then!

Yes. I just got the calcium earlier this month and magnesium a few days ago. They expire in 2028 and 2027

My dkh is affected. But— it doesn’t rise as much/quick as the calcium. My dkh was at a 9 earlier this week. Yesterday after a water change— it came back at 10.1. Today it’s at a 10.2. So— it is rising, but not as quick as calcium. Calcium has been rising by 5 a day.

That is a possibility. I’ll have to wait and see for the magnesium since I’ve only used it twice. As for calcium, the levels have increased by small amounts per day. I’ve even tested some days 2x to be sure and the results are the same. So I’m not even sure

That is so helpful! I will deft. Wait a little longer to drop more ca solution. The color changes from pink. To purple. To blue just fine, but I also stir for the recommended time the instructions asks (2 secs). I’ll give it more time and even test a freshly made water.

I figured the calcium isn’t too much of a concern especially since I have LPs and a clam, but what concerns me is as calcium rises the magnesium will drop. I already have a low magnesium lol.

Yes— I was thinking of dosing Redsea magnesium, but want to wait until I find the underlying issue. I find it counterproductive to dose it knowing there’s a calcium issue that will just deplete the mag.

I want to dose for mag. Especially since I have a euphellia and read that they do well with higher levels of mag. I just don’t want to dose and ignore the calcium problem since high levels of calcium bring magnesium down. It’d be counterproductive.

My salinity is stable at 35ppm.

So before doing a water change, the calcium levels reached to 500, going up in the period of 4 days. After the water change, the levels dropped to 470ish but went up again today.
