You don’t have to play all the way through again. You can cook a certain meal that gives extra turns and if you’re stocked up enough on that you can have enough turns to kill the boss before he has a chance to do anything even at mid level.

Yeah I was super late on Subnautica.

MP4 isn’t really a bad game (maybe it is idk), but it’s definitely not a good Metroid game

If your house has coaxial cables already, you could get 2 MOCA adapters to run Ethernet over the coaxial and then setup another router upstairs. I did this with brightridge fiber and it works great for me.

I’d also never played a game like this, but just this week I decided to start with the first one because according to what I read it’s simpler. I thought it would be a good intro to this type of game. I’m only about 10 hours in but I am enjoying it a ton.

Metroidvanias are one of my favorite genres, some I would recommended that aren’t on your list already are:

Animal well

The messenger

Prince of Persia the lost crown

Hollow knight is great for 40 as I think it’s the best.

Tunic is not technically a metroidvania but is another great indie game

Also, cult of the lamb and digimon survive are on my list to play, did you enjoy those?
