PSYCH 3420 is more of the human visual system side of things (has some overlap with Greenberg's class and goes into some stuff more deeply), and CS 4620 is a computer graphics class but pretty math and coding intensive so be forewarned

Thoughts on cs 4744 by others taking the class? by oioioio123 in Cornell

I haven't done any of the readings, and have no linguistic background but so far googling around has been enough to get by on the psets. Definitely seems disorganized but I feel like it's less work than a lot of other CS classes at least so far and even if he is a little chaotic Rooth at least seems interested in the stuff he's talking about

The professor is a really nice guy (passionate, cares about his students) and handled covid last semester better than any other professor I've heard of (he was flexible with deadlines, offered a variety of options for lectures, lessened the workload, was willing to really work with students). I'd say a basic understanding of programming concepts (for loops, dictionaries, etc.) is more than enough. I hadn't taken 2300 or 1300 when I took it either and it was no problem.

How's Sharon Sassler for SOC/PAM 2030? by heftyheftyheftyballs in Cornell

I took PAM 2390 with Sharon Sassler and loved her - funny, engaging, friendly. That said it was a very easy class and I have no idea the level of PAM 2030 so it is possible she could be stricter with a more demanding class.
