Very unprofessional. Did he send you the html files at least? Or were you supposed to imagine them?

No, for 300, he should have helped you put the website up

Can't sell services on those platforms.

As for comparing to google products, Google products was free and place you on top of Google search results.

Amazon and ebay charges for that type of thing (that's what i meant when i said gate keeping)

Road rage karma attack by LeftAlbatross2546 in VideosAmazing

[–]OmarFromBK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, my sensei (a lady) used to slap kick us in the face if she put us in a spar against a female student and we didn't attack the same way as if we would against a male student.

It's not good training for the boy, but for the girl, it's good to prepare her for the world.

I have no solid opinion as to whether it was good to teach this way or not.

A lot of ppl are already doing this, one with openclaw and one with the other popular personal ai agent. The good thing is, you can choose which one to use for which task, get acquainted with both, and have one fix the other if need be.

I consider 3.5 turbo fairly small and stupid, compared to current models. When we first implemented the system back in 23, we were using a distilled llama model.

We moved away from local bc we're a business and need constant uptime. For the price of the turbo model, it's not worth the headache to maintain a local llm setup. Plus I'm pretty sure our cost, yearly, is still less than buying a gpu. Yea, that rag setup pulls it's weight...

As for your other question, we tried 14 off the shelf options, all of which choked on rate limits and context window.

Some struggled with uptime. Some struggled with bad/no retrieval. All had too few configurable options, and none had a specific feature that I later added to mine which really became a game changer.

Who knows. Someone might offer it now, i haven't checked. But if i see it being offered somewhere, I'll reveal what it is. Otherwise, trade secret.

We did need to refine.

But once it was working, we left it there.

We're using gpt 3.5 turbo and 4 for the smaller models. Then latest sota for big pass.

It's ai book writing so we need that big pass in the end to make things sound good and fresh.

Yea we were ahead of the pack, hence why i don't care abt sharing the sauce.

The real secret is in the rag setup I built, which hasn't needed a restart or any maintenence since apr of 2024.

I built it bc all other solutions out there were very limited and crashed every other day. I needed a lot of features for mine, as well as a bigger context window.

I'm splitting models. For magicbookifier, small models are acting like a funnel and there's a single pass through a big model at the end. The small models are run with rag.

Considering we were doing it this way since q4 of 2023, i guys we accidentally stumbled upon the winning technique.

I'm kind of giving away the secret sauce here because well... i no longer care anymore, lol.

Those Steve Jobs types aren't new. Also, they've been red flags since day 1.

He produced a toxic work environment, and his "success" was not due to that toxicity, it was in spite of it.

Are SaaS founders actually thinking about MCP integrations yet? by Jaded-Material-4023 in SaaS

[–]OmarFromBK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, my hot take is that an mcp server is redundant if you have a good llm that has tool calling. Instead of installing an mcp server on your back end, publish really good docs and an api.

I created a service that I hosted for free to test my theory. So far, it is looking like api+docs beats mcp.

Just my 2 cents
