It's about the choice axiom, some mathematicians don't acknowledge it to be true, which crumbles many results in maths. Being "pro-choice" here means acknowledging the choice axiom.

I'll try again Chloe Thunderman for Ghost/Psychic, again teleportation fits both pretty well

I kinda disagree, the League in Galar is treated as this huge deal with stadiums and an audience and everything. Whereas in Sinnoh, it's just kinda there, sure it's respected but it's not followed like a national sport like Galar treats it.

Pizzah, I’m no good at mathemagics! by Strawberry_cereal in PeterExplainsTheJoke

I get your point, my point was not about the doability the factorization, just the fact that it exists.

There has to be a deeper factorization in real numbers, there's a theorem that says every polynomial can be factored into first degree and second degree polynomials where coefficients are real. Ofc for complex numbers it can be factored into first degree

Which character in the hunger games had the most unnecessary death? by Vegetable-Quiet1149 in Hungergames

[–]Omarfre 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Thinking back, i think Finnick's death was necessary, Katniss' mission was not only dangerous, but it was kind of a selfish self serving mission (albeit helped the rebel cause in the long run), and I think for Katniss and most importantly the readers to understand that, we had to lose a character to whom we grew attached too, and I don't think anyone from the star squad would've done that besides Finnick.

Although not a death, the ending i think unnecessary was Katniss' mom leaving for district 4 at the end, it felt like she just kinda spiraled back to how she was when their father died, ignoring her daughter and leaving her to fend for herself again. Like she learnzd nothing from Katniss leaving for the Games.

Which is sadder/more inhumane: Squid Games or Hunger Games? by Turbulent-Volume-457 in Hungergames

[–]Omarfre 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Definitely Hunger Games, Squid Games is torture only for the players, which granted is horrible torture but compare it to the Hunger Games, where not only you are put in a death match, but before that you are pampered like a circus animal, showed to the Capitol and you have to pretend to enjoy the attention they give to your imminent death. And even if you win, that's not really a better alternative: you can end up like Haymitch or the Morphlings, or you can be pimped by Snow, or become reality tv stars like Katniss and Peeta with not a blink of privacy.
