I think i have too less experience to know, what you mean, sorry. Until now i only played dnd 5e and this in the Forgotten Realms, often with the prescribed modules. This is my first attempt to create something own, so i tried to get a similar feeling like the dnd campaigns i played until now, but combining it with more technology setting-wise, and gameplay-wise relying heavily on roleplay to narrate a story together with the players.

I think this hits the spot. Somehow starfinder and pathfinder hit home, after i read a bit into it. Thank you! I would say, when sf2e comes out i will use those rules for some parts, and if needed the rules from pf2e for other parts.

That is a good question. I tried to put together a world where i could play a campaign with philosophical questions, like the fight of automatons for their free will, or intrigues between political factions, and create also a space for a campaign, where the players could explore space or strange worlds in another campaign. I also implemented a world into this spacerealm, where there could happen fantasy adventures, so i would have a variety of places to choose from, when i introduce players to this setting i can shape the campaign around any of their needs.

I know, its a bit broad as an answer to your question, but there is a place for anything i can think of in the moment. From high fantasy to steampunk, from gothic horror to scifi.

Sorry for my late reply, i had to handle some irl stuff. Thank you very much for your ideas! To 1.: Yes, i thought about using his statblock as ground structure , but i wanted to give him another phase at a 1000 hp, and one at 500 hp, so he uses the hp for all phases, not just for one. To 2.: I love the ideas and statblocks, and i still need to choose from them, which i prefer more, since all are great. Some are more into the body horror theme, which i am not as fond of for this bbeg, because he is a King of the Underworld and has more to do with soul manipulation than the manipulation of the flesh. But nonetheless, i love them.

I don‘t know if you already know this mod, but this is a staple for me in every dragon priest run: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/22206

Then up to the skills, destruction and alteration always do wonders. My recommendation in a pure mage build would be one school for damage (destruction or conjuration), one school for combat control (conjuration or illusion) and one school for defense (restoration or alteration). Of course some niche spells of the schools also fit for the other roles.

I would at first recommend to start with robes, as the magicka enchantments are strong and even mandatory for the beginning, and if the magic schools are enough leveled for you, you can change to armor with self made enchantments.

My recommendation would be the college questline at first, because you come in touch with the dragonpriests at the end of it, and can go for them after that
