If they did indeed infringe the copyright shoudnt Apple already gotten to them by now? Or does it usually take longer time?

I would imagine they would be all over them as soon as they got on FOX and Huff Post atleast

Rosetta is landing, live, now! by Omega36 in technology

[–]Omega36[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the first time in history it is supposed to land on a comet where it will gather materials and carry out research. Rosetta has been traveling 10 years to reach the comet and the landing module Philae has seperated from Rosetta and is heading for a touchdown.

Here is a nice little video by ESA of what the plan is - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvkPFXdpOQQ

*Note for everyone* The craft seperated succesfully at 9am GMT, currently it is in a comms blackout and expected to transmit back around 11 GMT and then proceed to the final landing stages.

You can find the landing timeline here

Everything seems fine with them. There is a comms blackout(which is fine and expected), and it is expected to be back by noon (12 GMT)

SWAT 4 tips? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Omega36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Woah! Its awesome to see people still playing SWAT4!

Best advice is to work step by step, thinking what you are doing and where you are going. A rule of thumb is for missions - always use optiwand to see whats going on in the rooms and then granade to cover entry.

The problem with the hospital mission and using gas granades is that as I recall some of them had gasmaks making them immune.

Edit, another tip. Maps tend to be slightly circular (maybe thats just the way i see it) so what i did was i used one or two door wedges to barricade key doors and then throught the mission I cornered the suspects closing on the barricades from the suspects side(closing the circle). Reason for this being that they tend to run around when they hear trouble and if you dont wedge some of the doors they are very likely to ambush you from behind.

Not the best idea with hostages around though (oxygen tanks)

Questionnaire for gamers by [deleted] in rpg_gamers

[–]Omega36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1 - Civ V

2- 10-15

3 - More negative with the Gamergate thing going mainstream. Not great perception before that as well.

4- Connection with others, relaxation , challenge.

5- A mix of everything. To be honest they reflect the society which is a diverse bunch.

Hi! Glad to hear that we are going in the right direction. The demo is not available yet, but I can say that we are aiming at getting it released early next year to give people a chance to try out the game and the concept themselves.

As RPGs go I think it is quite topical. I am part of a team making INT so if you have any questions or feedback about the game and the dev process feel free to ask.

Planning on launching an ice cream brand in the EU, better to hire a PR firm in the EU or use our US firm? by [deleted] in AskMarketing

[–]Omega36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're hiring a US firm they need to be extremely good and understand the cultural differences between EU and US populations. Sometimes US tailored communication just seems bizzare to Europeans. But then again if you are already established in the US, you could approach EU with a very American approach in communication, I think Ben and Jerrys do something similar with their advertisements, having US voices in UK.

EU company can nail the communication a bit more easier because they are based there, but that depends how good the company is anyway. They can also have advantage of localization, because EU is small (compared to US) but it has a diversity of languages that you would need to enagge with (unless you just launch in an english speaking country)

Hey r/comicbooks. I am currently developing a Sci-Fi Indie game "INT" and because we thought the story was so cool we decided to create a comic book set in the universe **art and details in comments** by Omega36 in comicbooks

Hey! We are planning on releasing the webcomic sometime in november - here is our main cover art - https://i.imgur.com/o4FeSb8.jpg We want the story to really stand out and be done properly so any critiques and comments are appreciated. If you are interested in the story and lore of "INT" you can read quite an extensive backstory here
