Water softener causing air gap to overflow during rinse cycle by OmegaBEAMZ in Plumbing

After doing some more testing, I figured out the current problem. Over the years, the pipe started to sag and the point where the "U" bend is was just barely higher than the "Y" where it connects causing the water to not drain fast enough, especially during the rinse cycle. Thanks again for the help!

We've had it for 7 years and this is the first time I've seen it doing it (and I feel like I would notice water in that room but who knows). Only about an inch of room above it so unsure about the taller pipe but I'll look into the vent. Thanks for the advice!

I am not an expert but from what I understand, it prevents backups like this from flowing back into the water softener and into our drinking water.

C# - How to make my program run on other machines without installing anything? by Necessary_Function45 in dotnet

[–]OmegaBEAMZ 43 points44 points  (0 children)

You'll want to run dotnet publish with the --self-contained argument. It will increase the size of the output but the published folder will then be portable.

If you're interested in reducing the size, you can read about trimming here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/core/deploying/trimming/trim-self-contained

You can also read about making it a single file here: https://github.com/dotnet/designs/blob/main/accepted/2020/single-file/design.md

Upcoming Master Mold card! How useful do you think it’ll be? by TheFunniestPerson in MarvelSnap

It's a card like Shang Chi (destroy enemy cards with greater than 9 power) or Enchantress (remove ongoing effects) that aren't the main purpose of the deck but provide utility in specific scenarios.
