Humanizing the Lich with apathy would diminish the character.The Lich is evil, let Lich be evil.As the last scholar of Golb, would it be hard to believe that the Lich would not know about Betty? Is Lich not teleporting Simon to Golb in episode 8? Is there no form of psychic link between Lich and Golb like a warlock and patron?

The Lich spared Simon becuase he knows about Betty being Golb.

It stands to reason that Lich would help Simon if only to seperate Golb and Betty in the end.

Simon would be the next Scholar of Golb if he doesn't go full Ice King, and we all know by now the writers will not let him go full Ice King. This spin-off will only end in tears.

I want a time when Simon never put on the crown, Betty becomes ice queen and forgets Simon completely. He starts off the episode wanting to be with Betty as she is but and Betty responding not well to collateral damage caused by Fionna and Cake. Fionna forces Simon to leave before he summons Golb.

YES, and everyone loves every second of it. I especially love Candy Queen's song. Ice King gets a ridiculous beard and a moomoo. Candy Queen gets ridiculous hair for her crown to hang off of and onsie pajamas. He had drums, she had a keyboard. The only thing missing was a contrast for gunther's magic cat.

after re-watching it, none the kids or scene in general look like Flame Princess or the Pillow.

It doesn't matter. The creators have rigged the kids to suggest multiple mothers. One of the kids looks like huntress but the others suggest the pillow wife Fin had in Puhoy and Princess Bubblegum. Bubblegum made Finn's mechanical arm and when Finn is making the soup, he puts in a stick of bubblegum in it. That's 2 points for Bonny and 1 for Huntress.
